Is this a good lease deal?

Wanted to confirm if this is a fair deal. Been negotiating with a Ram Dealer for a Truck that is MSRP $52845 Dealer Price at $48295 with discounts and rebates at $6500 making seller price $41775.

Dealer was unclear about the MF for 36 months but I imagine it would be close to 0.0013 with good credit.
Residual Value is $28536.30
Monthly Payment at $478.35
Sales Tax: 7%
Out of Pocket $3500

What fees are added to leases that are required? Is it the same as financing ( title, tag, tax and licensing )?

Not sure if they are giving me a crap deal or not. Any and all help is appreciated.

thanks in advance,
Alan

Sorry. It's a Ram 1500 Laramie Crew Cab 4x2 5.7 Hemi with 10k miles a year. In Miami Florida
    .00013 (3 zeroes) MF and 54% residual
    $1250 incentive

    $595 lease acquisition fee
DMV is same as purchase, with maybe an extra $20/year for lease.
FL dealers typically have massive dealer/doc fees. Expect something close to four digits. (of course, not required)

I don't think you are getting $6500 of incentives on a lease, unless it's through another bank than Chrysler Capital. Your all-in lease cost is about $560/mo, and we've seen better payments than that, relative to MSRP, in this discussion.

Why don't you think I'm not getting the $6500 in incentives?
What should the monthly price be given these factors? Given that they offered $480/month for 36 months and $438 for 48 months
Do you know all the required types of fees involved with a lease? ( make sure I'm not getting any ADM type of fees )

I attached the proposal for 36 and 48 months.

Your help is really appreciated because this process has become pretty confusing.

Those quotes are from Ally or US Bank - we do not have their program information available to us to confirm the numbers.

Those are decent quotes, relative to MSRP.

Ask them for an itemization of the $3500 from you. Generally, for leases, we advise just the first payment and any registration costs be paid up front - roll any taxes and fees into the monthly payment.

In Florida its not upfront. I tried getting them to do the least with $3500 out of pocket. Sale Price at $41775. 10k miles / year. MSRP is $53845. RV 54% ( 28536.30 ). 7% Sales Tax for Miami. And asked for $440/Month total payment for 36 year term but they won't accept it.

Is this a fair offer? I wonder if they are waiting until the end of the month to see if someone else will buy it at a higher price.

Florida dealers are notoriously difficult to work with.

Are you sure you can get over $12,000 off MSRP on a lease? Dealer may be mixing purchase prices with the lease program.

Also, confirm what bank they are using for the lease.

    Acquisition fee of $595
Dealer doc fee - in Florida, expect this to be large (I've seen up to $995 reported by other members)
    Registration costs
Electronic filing fee - dealer may try to mark this up on you, as well

Florida dealers are notoriously difficult to work with.

Are you sure you can get over $12,000 off MSRP on a lease? Dealer may be mixing purchase prices with the lease program.

Also, confirm what bank they are using for the lease.
Yes it is a lease. I attached a document confirming this. My issue is when I ask for 36 months the selling price changes because of the applicable rebates ( their words ) on the lease term. I don't know if this is a gimmick or not.

Any and all help is appreciated.

    thanks in advance,
    Alan

    What is your location?
    Which RAM model is this?
What is the annual mileage allowance?

Only $2000 out of pocket from you?
No $3500 out of pocket. But I don't know the programs involved or how to get the info you need but if you can be specific I'll ask the dealership. Thanks for your help
Ask them for an itemization of the $3500 from you. Generally, for leases, we advise just the first payment and any registration costs be paid up front - roll any taxes and fees into the monthly payment.
I don't think they will give me an itemization but I will try.

With a $6500 incentive, and a MF of .00125, that looks to be either an Ally or US Bank sourced lease.

Either way, $485/mo for a $52K truck, and $2000 out of pocket, is a good deal.

    Acquisition fee of $595
Dealer doc fee - in Florida, expect this to be large (I've seen up to $995 reported by other members)
    Registration costs
Electronic filing fee - dealer may try to mark this up on you, as well
I have looked online and the Registration fee for Florida is $225. Title fee is $85.25. And I'm told that I shouldnt allow to be charged more than $75 Doc fee by the dealership that is trying to inflate their doc fee, and they should simply discount the difference between their Doc fee to the Sale Price. So if my math is right the total fees is $980.50 + taxes on the lease payments?

I'd agree with you on the lease term length - leasing a car out of warranty puts all the risk on you for repairs, should there be any.

For Chrysler Capital leases (CCAP), the incentive is the same regardless of lease term. Can't speak for other banks or financial institutions.

Regarding the doc fee, I wasn't aware of a cap in FL; it's the wild west there, from what others have posted. Only a handful of states cap the doc fee - CA, NY, OH, PA are some that I'm aware of.

There isn't a cap. But from What I understand you can haggle the Doc fee down to $75 which is the standard cost to a dealership to file the documents. They can either remove it or take it off the sales price.

Are there any 3rd party leasing companies available since the dealership is telling me that my rebates or incentives aren't applicable with certain banks?
