I closed the deal on a 2021 TRD Off Road Premium last week.

Details:

MSRP: $46,124
Vehicle discount: $3500
Additional incentives: $500 lease cash
Money due at signing: $779 (first month and license plates)
Monthly Payment: $453

It seemed to me like Toyota dealerships don't like to negotiate much. They offer a "no haggle discount" upfront. It doesn't help that inventory was somewhat low and 4Runners sell so well. It seems to me that there was still room to negotiate on the selling price especially since the Money factor was so high. Is it true that the dealership will make money from the financing of this deal? The 73% residual value made the lease reasonable though. Please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong with my train of thought. Still learning!

Please let me know your thoughts on this deal overall. Thank you for providing the lease info, it was extremely helpful during negotiations!

You pay sales tax based on where you register the car, not on where you buy it.

But, I doubt that Toyota Financial Services would write a lease for an address within the SETF area.
