I’m saying they are still marking up by 0.0002 over the Mazda 0.00008 you shared for area code 95121. The rest of the deal includes all my requests but I’m not paying a markup. Also they threw some items that ‘come with the car’ for an invoice if ~500. I would typically not take these.. maybe time to move to another dealer if this one does not come back with the base MF.

Sorry to bring this up again. The dealer showed me the Mazda February MF and RV and these state 0.00028 / 59% for a 36/12 on a 2021 CX-5 touring FWD in zip code 95121 (northern California). I don’t think there are different schedules for different dealer groups, only a uniform base MF/RV that a dealer may elect to mark up. Or are they showing me a marked up MF sheet?

Thanks to COVID, my car's not been driven in about a year, so I'm turning in my 2018 CX-5 Touring with Preferred Package with 23000 miles. Seems like there's lots of inventory out there, but my great go-to Mazda salesperson who would always give me the best deal anywhere is out on maternity leave and the male salesperson wolves are happily circling around this sweet Mom self with the oh-so-honest "we've made aggressive cuts to give you our best ($340-388 a month) deal," which is a lot more than my previous $300 a month deal for the same car. So this Mom is rolling up her sleeves and learning everything there is to know about leasing. Would you please give me the current residual and money factor for a 2021 CX-5 Touring with Preferred Package for zip 33143 (SoFlo)? Also, am I correct there's currently a $1,000 manufacturer to dealer incentive, as well as $750 Customer Loyalty and additional $750 Lease to Lease reduction (leasing CX-5s for many years at same address). Someone suggested there may be an additional $500 President's Day reduction that runs to the end of March, but I can't find that anywhere. Thank you all in advance.

You are 100% right, my mistake for not switching to call out the touring FWD. all your numbers and advise are exactly on point. Thank you again for all your help, advise and for catching the GT / Tour error on my part. Looks like the dealer did in fact drop the MF markup and is proposing the base. Still not offering the 500 lease-to-lease, may have to wait 2 months for the lease end.

I think you are wasting your time searching all over the country for mass market vehicles that are in plentiful supply. You are going to run into residency restrictions, transportation costs, and a total lack of interest from out of state dealers. That's no way to save money.

If you can't drive to and from the dealer in one day, don't bother.
