That's exactly what Nissan did for my Leaf lease, so it certainly can be done. Two things...1) you'll obviously want to verify that the $1,500 is indeed being deducted as a rebate - that should be fairly clear on the purchase order and 2) they will have you sign a document assigning the tax incentive to the dealership/lender.

I see the comments above and had a question. Is the 0.00093 MF what we can expect as the lowest MF with or without MSDs? If we did max 7 MSDs, does this go down further? (0.00093- 0.00035 = 0.00058?)

What about dealer discounts? Is that ontop of it all? is 8% discount a good deal?

I tried asking for the 0.00093 money factor and the dealer responded saying that they can't lower the money factor anymore (.00133 to .00105 due to 7 msds) due to having given the discounts to the selling price (4.5k off msrp). Does that sound right? is this a good deal? Should we only expect 0.00093 if the sell price is close to msrp?

It really doesn't matter what the dealer says. Just what they do. If you think that $4500 was a discount, then the dealer is taking back about $30/mo. X 36 = $1080. Now, your effective discount is closer to $3400.

You have to decide if that is reasonable, or not.
