While everyone is obsessed with MF and RV, I thought I’d ask a different question:) What is attracting everyone to MDX? All-new? Reliability? Loyalty? Price and value? I had a ‘15 and now an ‘18 lease that’s expiring this summer. Part of me wants to get ‘22 but I’m also a bit bored of MDX (though all-new is attractive). Maybe this is not even the correct forum for the question but how are people thinking of MDX in comparison to the X5, Range Rover/Discovery etc? I know people will say even a comparison but wanted to hear your thoughts. Thanks!

I'd say the "all new" factor counts for a lot. The old MDX was starting to look dated, both inside and out.

If folks are cross shopping the X5 and LR Discovery against the MDX, then Acura has done a good job with it.

That, and also it's a completely different experience compared to 15/18 models. I also had 15 and 18, very subtle difference between the two. But 2022 is a complete rework. It feels and behaves differently. The inside is also a huge improvement. Take a test drive, you'll see what I mean.
  • What should I be paying per month for a 2022 w/Advance + maintenance included? Rolling everything into a monthly payment. I’m currently at the end of my 2018 w/Advance + maintenance lease and I’m at $687 per month.

Thanks guys. I appreciate the responses. Hoping to pick one up later in the year. Don’t think I got a particularly good deal on the ‘18 Tech at $477/36/12 with maintenance but then I wasn’t on this forum. Seeing at least $2700 of [non-permissible content removed] charges on that ‘18 invoice. The same sales person was trying to get me to lease a ‘20 last month as part of a pull ahead program at $674 no money down. What???? No thanks! Will wait for dust to settle and incentives to kick in. Mine expires in July so I have time. Looking forward to being active here.

What is the MF and residual on a 2022 AWD MDX Advance for 3yr/7.5K miles in 20878?
Is there a lower MF for a single payment lease? Please give me both single pay and normal lease.

    Thank you

We’ve owned 9 Acura’s*. So… loyalty. Not cross-shopping BMW or JLR - price difference is stark. I did look at the smaller Audi Q5 e and SQ5, but not other 3-row SUV.

*Most recent Acura’s - 2009 RDX, 2011 MDX, 2014 MDX, 2016 TLX… then fled because the 2014-2020 Acura lineup was such cheaply made crap. Dual screen, Alabama build quality (also an issue on our 2019 Honda Odyssey), body panels, transmission, seats, everything.

The new TLX and MDX are a return to Acura roots. But I have to give it time - issues with the TLX are beginning to leak in. And the second row aping of the Odyssey center removal is novel, but the lack of armrests is cheap and stupid. Should have stuck with captains chairs, as the press has pointed out as “odd” and “head scratching” at this price point ($60k).

  • If anyone is curious, the best I could do with the Advance trim and maintenance rolled in was $825 per month. At this price I will opt for the Germans.

Hi All. Best I could do for 2022 aspec Shawd is 4K down/702 per month. 36 mo/10k. Dealer won’t take any off msrp. Anybody hearing anything different? FYI, I did not take the deal.

About to close on a deal for $700 per month, 36 months at 10K per year. Advanced 62k MSRP. This seems a bit above what I thought the payments would be. Should I go ahead and sign? Is it a good deal?

I don’t claim to have the knowledge of senior members here and I’m not trying to band together like GameStop Redditors but $700 for 10K/yr??? Yes, it’s a luxury vehicle but come on Acura. They have got to start better incentives. I guess people not on these forums give them plenty of business and are happy to be robbed. I’m at $477/36/12 on my ‘18 Tech FWD with maintenance and think I got robbed. Will look for no more than $550 for A-Spec AWD 36/15 this summer. It may never happen but just saying. Hoping there are much better incentives. I do realize that others may have a different opinion.

For an Advance all in including taxes? That’s an insane deal.

You’re going to have a hard time reconciling the current state of leases. It’s not 2018 anymore. Leases are out of control these days. You’ll be surprised how bad the prices are especially for well-optioned vehicles.

That is certainly true - nobody will likely replicate the leases they got 3 years ago.

And, until the 2020 inventory is gone (or significantly lowered), don't expect any decent deals on the 2022 MDX.

Short inventory gives the dealer the advantage.

Agreed. Just going through various options here and the deals certainly aren't as good as they were 3 years ago when I got my 2018 Grand Cherokee Overland. I suspect the Acura deals aren't going to be great given it's a redesign and there are still a bunch of 2020s sitting on lots.

Random question. On my Jeep, there is a $350 purchase option on the car if I buy it out. Do dealers pay that fee if they take the car in a trade? Like if I found an Acura dealer to take the Jeep (it has equity in it) being a dealer would they pay the purchase option? I would guess an Acura dealer might have to but a Jeep dealer might not have to if I get another Jeep through Chrysler Cap?

You wouldn't be responsible for the end of lease fees if you trade the car in; I'm sure the Acura dealer can coordinate the payoff of the lease with the bank.

The price I was quoted this morning for 2022 is outrageous $824 for advance SH-AWD. I currently have 2018 MDX Advance for $550 12/36 with a buyout of $28,000. I understand we have a chip shortage but damn it, man. The same engine with an extra gear platform only change is the chassis platform. To see what they are asking for 2018 used MDX dealers are making serious profits.smh

That $550 won’t get you anything right now. You’ll spend that much on a Mercedes A class. My lease on 2018 Advance with maintenance is ending now and I’m paying $687.30 per month and that was a great deal. I never heard $550 before. You must have picked up the lease much later because my buyout is much higher as well.

At any rate, the GV80 base model (the $49,000 one) is leasing in my area for $3999+ tax down and 759 a month 7500 miles. That’s absurd.

Got a 22 A spec for $615 with 2k down 36/12. Best deal I could get right but my lease was up so needed to pull the trigger. There's not enough supply and a lot of demand for them right now. Definitely not like 3 years ago. My 18 Tech SH-AWD was $515 no money down 36/12 and that wasn't the best deal. But to be fair the 22 is just much better.

Certainly, the previous generation isn’t in the same league as the 2022. Having said that, the second row in the previous Advance is much nicer than in the current model, however that’s about it….
