I got quoted 986 before tax per month on a 67900 with 5000 down. Dealer hasn't told me the residual or money factor for my zipcode (92602). Is this a good deal?

Selling price is 67,900, but trying to negotiate that down.

I have no idea what the $5000 covers, but here are the figures they gave me:

Adjusted Price: 67,900
Taxable fees: 1095
Doc Fee: 85
Tax: 288.38
Non Tax Fee: 802.75
Total: 70,171.13

Even if the first month's price is included, that's about 3300 including all those fees up there. I don't know what the 5000 in down payment covers.

First, you need to clarify if the $5000 is with or without the first payment included.

Using the MSRP and "adjusted price" of $67,900, I calculate a payment of $970/mo, plus tax.

Not that far off the dealer quote - but, knowing how much of that $5000 is cap reduction could tell me if the dealer has marked up the MF from the base of .00150. I'd say they are, but don't have all the numbers to prove it.

Ask them what MF is used for their quote.
