Alright, so I contact a local dealer for a series 4 they have in inventor, the ONLY one they have in inventory with a sticker MSRP of $53,465... When I called to start negotiations, they said that because of the current market, getting a car for sticker price, let alone negotiating it below sticker, was near impossible. They had a markup of $10k... Has anyone else run into this recently when negotiating a lease? Maybe someone can give me some insight as to how I can approach the dealer to negotiate it down to sticker price or below if possible. Just don't know if that's an attainable reality in todays vehicle market. Thanks!

We hear it all the time. Negotiation hasn't changed. Sometimes, the price you want won't be available at a specific dealer.

Hello, getting ready to go to bmw for a 440i convertible in 33496. Curious one what the mf and residual are for a 10/36 lease and if the national lease deal is what I should be trying to get, as well as some advice on them trying to sell additional maintenance and if that’s a good deal.
Also it seems like there are no incentives - is that normal or is it worth waiting until December?

We can't tell the future, but I wouldn't expect any incentives for next month.

The car comes with 3/36 scheduled maintenance, I think. I certainly wouldn't want to purchase any sort of extended maintenance on a leased car.

1% delta between 10K and 7.5K

They are a good deal .... for the dealer. It's like any insurance policy - weigh the risk against the cost. Have you blown any tires or bent any wheels lately?

For a m440i convertible 10/36 msrp 72080 we were quoted 1240 a month with 0 down and this includes a tire and maintenance package of 2k which we might take out.

I think they’re marking up the mf to .00151 and not sure if there’s much I can do about that.

Do these numbers seem right? Even with their mf I’m getting Around 1200.

I calculated the 1200 using mf of .00151, msrp of 72,080, incentives of 1k so selling price of 71080 and a residual of 57%.

That gave me 1140 and I added around 60 for the 2k of tires which got me to the 1200

The number that they gave me was 1240

Which would explain some of the difference in my payment calculation

The number you need from the dealer is the adjusted cap cost, and a full accounting of how they reached that number from the selling price.
