Hello. First time poster...long time lurker. Can I please get the MF and Residual cost for the following:
Cap Cost: $89K
Down Pmt: $0
Term: 36/10
Zip: 94403

Also, I see that the rent charge posted on the offer the sales person provided me totals $6,596. How can you determine the MF from this?

183.22 divided by (adjusted CAP + residual) = money factor

Residual was calculated based on Gross Capitalized Cost which was 88,995. MSRP was 88,250. I was lukcy that the car wasn't marked up since most dealerships here are marking up 5K (San Jose) to $15K (San Francisco). This one is BMW Fremont.
I was a bit off. Taking $183.22/137,700= 0.00133.

Thoughts? Questions? This was as of last week.

Residual is always a full percentage of MSRP. That's the Monroney label, not with any dealer additions. It will be exact.

.00133 is the maximum markup from the base MF of .00093. (looks like your math is good)

Residual is always a full percentage of MSRP. That's the Monroney label, not with any dealer additions. It will be exact.
