    Hi again - this dealership came back and gave me an $860/mth for 36mths 10k/yr $8000 down. MSRP $69,040. When I put it into the edmunds calculator, seems like a really good deal - can you confirm?

    In 07450 zip. 2022 Q7 55 Premium Plus. They said 57% residual on the MSRP of $69,040 and they lead with MF of .00201 which spit out $938/mth. 36mths/10k. When I told them to do better, they gave me the deal above without explicitly improving the MF ($8K down/36mth/10k/$860 mth)...seemed ok but I guess not a slam dunk?

    I'm asking for selling price/adjust capital cost see if they give it to me. They're being a bit dodgy when I ask them specific questions...thanks a lot for your help!

    selling cost $72,040... no cap adjustment - sounds high...but i'll defer to you guys - posting orig details here for ease:

    In 07450 zip. 2022 Q7 55 Premium Plus. They said 57% residual on the MSRP of $69,040 and they lead with MF of .00201 which spit out $938/mth. 36mths/10k. When I told them to do better, they gave me the deal above without explicitly improving the MF ($8K down/36mth/10k/$860 mth)...seemed ok but I guess not a slam dunk?

    The play is to shop multiple dealers.

    Unfortunately, the advantage is with them, due to supply limitations.

    Is it true that these numbers changed at the beginning of the month? That's what one dealership told me today...trying to keep these guys honest. Premium plus 55 36/10k I did get another dealer to show msrp/.00181 and 57% residual - that still good? Zipcode 07450

    Thank you. Also trying to get a sense check here. A .0025 MF coverts to 6% APR. That sounds pretty steep. The question is more for my own understanding as I had read that auto loan APRs and MFs should be comparable.

    Not necessarily - lease and loan rates have often been far apart, historically.

    Frankly, just a really bad time to be leasing. You might be able to finance it for a lower payment.
