2021 Mazda CX5 GTR

Hi I'm shopping for a Mazda CX5 GTR. My local dealer quoted me:
MSRP: $37,155
Selling price: $34,634 (which seems fair in current market)
RV: 59% ; MF: 0.00038
Monthly payment after tax: $498.89 (which doesn't seem right to me)

According to my calculation that should land me at $398/mo after tax. Dealer fee, Gov fee, etc to be paid upfront. Leasing for the first time.

Can someone please help me understand this? Also, is the MF, RV look legit? Zip: 01851.

    You're missing a 0 from the MF - it's .00038

36/10 residual is correct at 59%

Using the prices given, I get the same payment you do (assuming it's still 6.25% sales tax in MA?)

Ask the dealer what adjusted cap cost they are using - I'll guess it's higher than the selling price.

If so, find out what they've added.

Or, the MF has been marked up.

Thank you. Fixed the error. Yeah the dealer as they would are being sketchy about it. I'll ask for a detailed qoute.

So, after sending 4-5 emails and being re-routed to different sales managers/executives, they didn’t send me a detailed quote at once. I had to ask for Dealer fee, doc fee, MF, etc… separately in every email. Hate these games they play.

Finally after getting everything when I sent him my calculated monthly value, the sales manager responded with:
“Hi Anirudh, With the selling price of $34634. I would have to charge you the MF to be .00088 instead of .00038. Let me know if you would like to move forward. if not. I understand. Thank you for the opportunity.”

I’m so mad. Increasing MF because I’m giving you a discount? Hilarious. The dealerships these days are feeling like they are kings.

Any suggestions how to deal with such a situation?

If you don't have to have a car, wait.

If you have to have a car, then I have no advice

Yeah I don't have a car right now and have been waiting since the beginning of this year. It's frustrating. Anyway thanks for your advice.
