Making a down payment doesn't change the cost of the lease, and that up front money would be lost if the car is stolen or totaled during the lease term.

sorry just updated. distracted here on my day off with the little one. Correct, I know that. When my wife was looking at the explorer the rate was .5% for 24 months or a little over 2% for 36, and a whole lot more going to 48. So I just didn't know if ram was different. I only meant I would rather pay less interest regardless of payment.
