The up front cash doesn't change the cost of the lease, and you'd lose that money if the car was stolen or totaled during the lease term.

For the selling price I was just going off the VON to get an idea.

Good to know about the down payment. Still somewhat new to leasing and wasn't aware what may happen if totaled or stolen.
