So I reached out to a dealership and received some numbers for a 2022 Wagoneer 4x4 Series 1 that has a MSRP of $67,940 in zip 19512. There response was that for a 39/10 it would be $5k at signing for $955-$970/month with a residual of $46,879 (selling price is listed at $67440). The residual seems great (69% from what I calculate) but not sure how that's possible. If that's what they are using, why would there numbers seem so high? Could they possibly have just sent over the wrong residual value? Any guidance is appreciated. Thanks

You pay tax on the entire selling price, even when you lease.

Using the prices given, I calculate $902/mo, assuming the $5k is your first payment, taxes and fees.

Ask for a break down of the up front money; there might be a MF bump in their quote.

Thanks, so they are using a money factor of 0.00238. Is there any way to get them to use the 0.00195 or can they adjust/use however they want?

If this is a CCAP lease, they can mark up the MF by .00042 for extra profit.

If they are using a 3rd party bank, we don't have those programs.

Don't know equity on wrangler. First dealership I talked to today couldn't tell me.... which I found odd.

No lease support on the 2022 Wagoneer Series II Carbide, which means it will be expensive to lease.

You can use an online resource like CarMax or Vroom to get a buy bid from them, and compare that to the buyout value to determine how much equity you have.
