Have they run your credit? Dealers often quote a higher MF until that's done, and they see you qualify for the best rate.

Could be they are using a 3rd party bank or credit union.

Or, they are simply being greedy.

If you do a one-pay lease, there is a discount to the MF.

Why not just buy it to begin with?

Well I can’t afford it one payment I wanted save up for a year or two (so I can stay comfortable)

I'm not sure I understand what you mean by that.

There isn't any advantage to pre-paying the payments on a lease, unless you do a one-pay.

This is the worst time in my memory to buy or lease a car; if you can wait a year or so, that would be my advice.

What is the MSRP?
What is the selling price?
What is the adjusted cap cost?

We do not recommend big down payments on a lease - you aren't changing the total cost of the lease, and that up front money would be lost if the car is stolen or totaled.
