If I add the aftermarket cost to the sale price, I get $488/mo, pre-tax. If the tax rate is 9.25%, I'm just a few pennies off the quoted payment.

If you're happy with the discount from sticker, I don't see anything wrong with this quote.

Question about warranty add-ons.

Anyone know about brakes on the Mini Cooper s? The finance guy tried to offer brake replacement service as an add-on for an additional $800. I was always told to say no to those because that’s where they make money. He said because it’s an s the driving on that makes you replace at 12k miles and can be $5k I was like that sounds like a load of bologna.

I’ve leased Audis and bmws and never did anything with the brakes during the duration of my lease.

I wouldn't be surprised at brakes on one of the axles by 36K miles, but it isn't a sure thing.

One thing for sure: If you pay $800 upfront, you are guaranteed to be out $800.

My daughter has a 2014 MINI Countryman S - has not needed the brakes or rotors replaced in 8 years and 55,000 miles.

Yet another way for the dealer to make money off the customer.

One thing to note - all MINIs have a sport tuned suspension, which means you'll go through tires at a pretty rapid clip. The OEM tires (run-flat) needed to be replaced at 26,000 miles, and the replacements only lasted 22,000 miles.

So I looked at the fine print and it says it will replace brake linings (pads) and rotors, external drive belts, clutch disc and wiper blade inserts at 36 months or 3 years, whichever comes first. Wouldn’t think I’d run into any of that at that point in time!

Looks like my 2023 MINI Cooper S Convertible (Iconic) is finally being built and they are tracking towards a July delivery. I know we won't have rates yet for July (and things can change), but to get an idea what I can expect, can I get the rates for 36/10 in 28262 and any incentives.
