Texas Lease Sales Tax is applied to the entire sales price less any applicable rebates, only. One of the most unfavorable Lease tax states in the Union.

Fortunately- Texas is the only state in the Union (that I know of) that has lenders offering Full to 1/2 Tax credits!

Yes, that is correct. As noted above, some dealers can offer tax credits, which brings the tax rate down from 6.25% to 1.25%.

The sales tax is collected upfront. You either pay it with your Due at Signing, or the amount can be rolled into the adjusted CAP cost.

What makes the adjusted CAP lower than the selling price? Is that from the GMS?
Considering sales tax and other fees, this is a great price. Of course, the giant money factor is a drawback, but the program is what it is. I get the same payment.

Thanks again for the feedback. We are also turning in, early, a leased 2021 Tahoe LT. He says the dealership will buy that out and there is some equity, which I imagine may account for the difference?

Yeah, must be a decent amount, because you have sales tax, title/license fees, etc, etc..
