my question is, how accurate is the Edmund's lease calculator?
when i use the same zipcode i have given you, the RV & MF are not the same. is it due to your data being more recent and the calculator data lagging?

i ask because i am in the market for a new vehicle. i am trying to gather the most accurate data to make a spreadsheet to compare all vehicles. i have been using the data provided by the calculator, as to not ask you and other providers the data on 10 - 15 different makes, models, etc ...

or should i simply just go to each model forum, ask for the data? it is a lot of questions, i am basically shopping half of the mid-large suv segment.

The calculator does fine on the math, but we have the updated MFs and residuals. In most cases, the calculator should have our numbers, as well.

Before gathering data, shop the lots and see if these vehicles are available, and if the dealers are open to negotiations. No point in getting numbers on models that are going for MSRP +$5K, as you won't want to lease those, anyway.

Follow-up Lease Deal:
I ended up leasing a 2023 Kia Sorento EX AWD, 36/15, trade in equity of $4300 (from a 2020 Telluride S lease whose MF/RV information I obtained here) with $1000 down, for $499/month. Leasehacker score of around 6. Thanks again for providing me with the information ammunition to know what deal to shoot for. In this environment where sellers have more leverage, any information that helps level the playing field is appreciated.

Yes. One child off to college and only two remaining in house. Not nearly as many carpools so downsizing.

I'll guess they are quoting a 2022 model, and marking up the money factor.
