We don't have the exact number, but expect it to be high - maybe in the neighborhood of 9%

I haven't even done a credit app yet, so the switch up was rather confusing. I finally received the full quote and while I see it says 7.6%, the Rent Percentage of the calculation is exactly how it would be priced at 4.6% or .00192 MF. That said, the monthly payment is in line with what I would expect give $15 or so.

Is this the dealer just putting some fluff in the paperwork to take some interest off the top of the deal, or should I proceed with caution? I am comfortable with the quoted price; I'm just not understanding how they computed it given the stated rate.

Ford APRs really jump with lower credit. If they weren't assuming top tier, then 3% higher isn't unbelievable.

Ask them to verify the rate

Ask them for the rate used and the adjusted cap cost - do you know how much of a discount from sticker you are getting?
