It doesn't have anything to do with conquest (which I don't see on this vehicle.. check with a dealer)

Dealer said better to buy if putting 20K but if its EV then better to lease even if putting 20K miles on it. Appreciate input.

3. Leasing in Texas will always be expensive as you are paying sales tax on the entire selling price - in most states, you only pay tax on the monthly payment. I'd seriously look at a purchase.
4. The prices on a dealer demo vehicle should be lower; there will be an adjustment to the residual, based on the number of miles the car has on it.
5. Are you sure you can live with an EV if you're driving 20,000 miles a year? Have you considered how much time you'll spend charging the car?

I'd seriously look at a purchase. -----> I was planning to buy but 2 dealers BMW and Mercedes said same thing that EV technology will change/evolve/improve in 3-5 years and when I sell it after putting 15-20K miles per year, I may not get good resale value and recommended to lease (lease also has incentive at present and buying does not). Both dealers said, for my situation buy ICE car but lease EV. The reason for my interest in EV is save money as I am driving 15-20K miles per year.

You make good points about lease vs. buy - guaranteed the technology will change over the next few years, so locking in your depreciation makes sense, and you can walk away from the lease at the end.

Dealer can mark up the MF for extra profit, and they may not be giving you the top tier credit MF rate, either.
