    Hi - may I please get the standard MF and residual for a 2024 Q8 Sportback Premium Plus. 3 years, 10k miles. Location is 55317. Dealer is quoting a MF of 0.00339 and residual of 54%. From previous posts, seems like the residual is in line but MF may be inflated.

    Thank you! This forum is new to me - how do I best hold the dealer to the numbers you’re providing? Do I just say I have a source that says the MF is X and the residual is Y? Are these numbers published anywhere or how do I say I got them?

    Ask them to clarify the residual for 10K/yr. Since they can't alter it, that's likely a communication issue.

    Tell them you want the buy rate on the money factor, and that you know it's .00299. That doesn't mean you'll be successful, but at least you'll know by their response, if they are being honest about it.

    .00299 and .00339 = approx 1.0% APR difference. It's about the minimum any dealer will markup a rate, assuming they are going to.

    Assuming you have top tier credit, they are marking up the rate.
