So, I went to a dealership today and they quoted me 61% residual for the 24 month lease and 60% residual for the 36 lease. I thought that was weird that there is only 1% difference, and also doesn't line up with your numbers which make far more sense. Any advice?

Yeah, I saw the numbers and was confused and asked for clarification and the sales manager repeated the numbers 61% for 2 year lease and 60% for 3 year lease. The model is 2024 Kia Sportage SX Prestige AWD Gas model.
He did say the 3 year one is too high, should be more like 55%, but that also feels wrong, it should not depreciate that much in three years. However, it feels like its to my benefit if the residual value is too low, that means more equity when returning the car? Is that correct?
