Okay.. I see what happened. I missed the extraneous quote.

10% off would be great, I think. I don't see anything wrong with your math.

Of course, a big downpayment makes the payment lower, but when you average it out, it's still over $700/mo, all-in.

Hi, I am now considering buying the 2024 Q5 45 Premium Plus. I only put approx 8k miles per year on the vehicle, so it might make sense. Also, if I am able to negotiate the price down 10%, then possibly get the dealer incentive of $4k off, that would bring the price down considerably. I normally keep a car for many years, but even if I kept this Q5 for as little as 5 years, the car will still be worth 40% of the MSRP (especially given the low miles). So, if I buy it at, $47K for example, plus taxes and other fees, the total cost would be $51,500. Then, if its worth $22K in 5 years, I only spent $5,900 per year to own it. Please let me know your thoughts, and if its possible to get both 10% off the vehicle, and the $4K dealer incentive. I would pay the car outright (rather than finance) if it meant getting the best price. Thanks so much in advance for your help.

This information would be really helpful. The 2008 Lexus RX 350 I have, was because I got a great deal from reading these forums. Other buyers posted exactly what they paid for their vehicles and it was SO helpful. Thanks so much again.

2. No, the $7500 is used as an incentive to bring down the cap cost; you don't get to claim it as a tax credit when you file your taxes next year
