Hi, I know that, the way to convert MF into APR is to multiply by 2400. However with the numbers I am not seeing how that would be the APR.

MSRP minus Residual : $19104

Even if we consider MSRP - Residual ($19104) as the cost, still the interest of $5054 for 2 years is much more than a 6.4 APR.

Is it the Adjusted CAP Cost ? That is $35316.12. It does reduce the interest number, but still seems higher.

Don't use APR in your lease calculations - the MF is the number you want to focus on.

And, the dealer is allowed to mark up the base rate for extra profit.

It's the average of the Cap cost and residual that the rent charge is calculated.

@JeeshT You aren't borrowing the depreciation amount. In effect, you are borrowing the full adjusted CAP, and paying it down to the residual amount.

The lease formula assumes the amount "borrowed" is an average of the adjusted CAP cost and residual. Once you understand that part, the finance charges will make more sense.
