How does the residual work when there is a large amount of lease cash.

For example the GV60 offer on the website for a GV60 std RWD the fine print says
"Offer shown based on $5,999 due at lease signing (includes $279 first payment and $5,720 capitalized cost reduction). No security deposit required. MSRP $53,350 (includes destination, excludes tax, license, title, registration, documentation fees, options, insurance and the like). Offer includes application of $14,250 EV Lease Bonus resulting in a net capitalized cost $33,988. Net capitalized cost includes $750 acquisition fee. Dealer contribution may vary and could affect actual lease payment. Total monthly payments $9,212. Option to purchase at lease end $29,876.."

The cap cost is obviously the 53350 - 5720-14250 =33380 . I guess the 608 diff mostly the 750 fee.
How does the 33988 cap cost work with a residual of 29876? that would be a residual of .88 which I can not imagine is correct. What number do they use to calculate the residual

The cap cost is obviously the 53350 - 5720-14250 =33380 . I guess the 608 diff mostly the 750 fee.

The residual is calculated against the MSRP, not the cap cost.

It's always the bottom line of the window sticker. Including destination *THE BOTTOM LINE*

In other words, for any specific unit, the residual is a fixed amount, depending on term/mileage. That way, any money you save negotiating the price falls directly to you, in a lower payment

for others looking to buy- I was able to get 1500 from dealer and 15K EV rebate on advanced awd 24 genesis. 33 month lease/10k miles. rv 56$, MF=.00258. My state is CT.

From what I have seen in shopping the advance is 14K lease cash and the Perf is 20K. if you want a white/black car I have a fantastic deal lined up at Brunswick. We wanted the navy interior and I am actually paying $1000 more to get that car than I could at Brunswick.
