Are you a recent EV buyer (past 3 months) as a result of manufacturer incentives and dealer discounts on these vehicles, including year-end deals? Is it normal to have Dealer add-ons, up to 3k, for this type of vehicle?

Most websites, incl. Edmunds, suggests a price of 61k + tax/registration for the hybrid max. However, I'm getting a dealer that's added 3k more to the price for add-ons (67k total). Is this normal?

We're seeing that a lot on vehicles that are in high demand and shorter in supply. You may have to widen your search range to find a dealership that is willing to sell for MSRP.

Most hybrids and PHEV vehicles are selling for at, or above, sticker price.

When you pick one of the most popular vehicles in the country, that only started being made this model year? You're going to get gouged.

3k is actually not terrible. I've seen reports of "market adjustments" + mandatory add-ons totalling $8-10k over MSRP.

Some dealers will let you order at MSRP, but that doesn't help if you want/need the vehicle now, and you should also read sales reviews for whatever dealership you intend to do business with to see if there's a patten of them sticking to their word or not.
