To me using e-mail makes more sense nowadays.

Me too - back in Dec. '98 when I last bought new, email hadn't hit critical mass. So now you just Blast Email. :-)

Backcountry has 20% on various Yakima rack parts right now. Put Yakima in the search box.

Hard to believe you can pay $24 just for one pair of Q-clips and that's on sale, but what are you going to do?

These "trade" magazine freebies die without notice and sometimes they just never show up, but right now this deal appears to be live. I don't read much dead tree stuff anymore but if you like holding glossy paper in your hands, go for it.

"How would you Sync your life? That's the question Ford and Microsoft are hoping people will want to answer by making a video and uploading it to the Sync Your Life Web site.

In Ford's current series of Sync commercials, regular folks try to command everyday objects by speaking to them Sync style. A large man in a white bathrobe says "curtains, close" then drops his robe to get dressed — only the curtains don't close and the neighbors are horrified. Clearly, creativity will play a big part in determining the winners. Current submissions include "Mother-in-law, mute" and "Hair, grow." We're going to throw out "Diaper, change" and see if that one sticks."

hey, come on now. I had that Grand Caravan correct. The game designer must have left off the appearance package that it apparently had thanks to the pic that included body-colored side moulding and aluminum wheels. ;P

What happened to the savvy shopper sweepstakes? I don't see anything on the site about the winner. Obviously not me.

There's a little bit of fine print - 6% of labor charges will appear as shop fees. Not sure how much labor that would be, but at $90 per hour you may end up paying another $5 or so.

    Still a good deal, though.

Test drive a Genesis and get a "$40" car cleaning kit and a $500 coupon that's transferable.

The giveaway doesn't make a lot of sense - if you get a kit and then decide to wash and detail your current ride, you may decide it looks so good, why trade? Or maybe you'll use it to detail your ride to increase the trade-in value.

Some of the dates have already passed and I didn't check the requirements (probably age and driver's license?).

TireRack has some Blizzaks on sale at close-out prices.

    Limited size selection.
  • ateixeiraateixeira Member Posts: 72,587
My sister went to that. She showed me the kit and it was decent, not $40 worth but a small chamois and some brushes and cleaning supplies.

She said there was no food, but they had some energy drinks.

She said she liked it - got to drive the Genesis and a Cadillac, though she did not recall which model (DTS?).

I could be wrong, but I think he wants us to suggest a name for his company.

Hehe, no, I do not know the name of the products. For example: the nut and washer assembly used for screen wiper, the U type fork used for the controller connector, the tow nut used for towing. I can descrip the products, but I do not the industry name of their. Wow, you can check our product through our website, but I am afraid that you will think I make an advertisement here. But it's a really big problem for me.
  • qbrozenqbrozen Member Posts: 33,285
I'm sorry, but you lost me.

I believe you are saying that you have a website where you sell auto parts, but you don't know the names of the parts. Is this correct?

Is this a translation problem? Meaning, you know the names of the parts in a language other than English?

I did think you were trying to advertise. So I understand your dilemma as far as that is concerned. I could be wrong, but I believe you can put a web address in your personal profile, which can then be viewed by other Edmunds members. You may want to check with the host on that, though. If you scroll to the top of this page, you can see a link for the Host's email address.

Thank you very very much, I gave our company website in my community profile. I do not know what's the exactly names. For example: I call the part uede for towing of car as tow nut, but I can not get the same name on the google, that's to say this name is only mine not for most.Well, I think it's better to discuss this question through the MSN, do you have it and would you please? My MSN is my email address. I'm looking forward to chatting with you.<img src="

when is the thanksgiving day, this weekend or next weekend?

Was that a trick question? Thanksgiving day is never on a weekend. It is always on the fourth Thursday of November and Thursday is never on a weekend. :shades:

Actually he could be kinda right. When you're retired, the week is six Saturdays and a Sunday for church. :shades:

When you're retired, the week is six Saturdays and a Sunday for church.

In that case, there would be no distinction between "this week" and "next week" which renders the question moot. ;)

how did you spend your thanksgiving day?
  • steverstever Guest Posts: 52,454
Thanksgiving was last month for our Canadian neighbors, but those of us in the US celebrate it this coming Thursday.

    Deals?

TireRack is having a close-out on ASA JH6 17" silver wheels. Around $100 a wheel.

Subaruparts.com has a coupon for 15% over cost when you spend $50. Code is weT7VRVM. Good through the end of November.

Amazon has rebates on Fram Air Hog panel filters. Buy a cheap one like this and "make money."

Ok, it's shown that this Monday is thanksgiving day on the calendar, so I have thought...
and there is nobody on my Yahoo messager. I thought all of them are celebrating their days. The Christmas Day is coming.

Just got a coupon from my Chrysler dealer where if I purchased a used car in 2002. It says that if I pay $30 for an initial oil change they will give me 3 free ones. I read all the fine print and as near as I can tell the only catch is that I must have the 3 free oil changes within a year (not a problem since I am a 3000 mile changer).

The offer sounds a little too good to be true. Any opinions?
