It's possible the 2025 programs have been set up to encourage customers to look at the remaining 2024 inventory.

Another question. The dealership I’m dealing with has a $4300 discount off of msrp. Will I be able to get that figured into the lease since the lease amount is msrp- residual value ? Can that be used as a down payment ? Not sure how that works .

The lower the selling price, the lower the payment. The negotiated price is the gross cap cost, and the selling price plus any taxes or fees you don't pay up front is the adjusted cap cost - the latter is what's used to calculate the lease payment.

Just confirm that the discount is applicable to leases.

Have they run your credit? It's possible they are quoting a lower tier. Ask them why you aren't quoted the base rate.

I will tell you this. While trying to make my first lease deal. The Toyota dealer that I dealt with wouldnt come anywhere close to what I figured. Basically the negoioted price was $59286 for a Tundra Limited TRD. He finally said he give me a .00170 money factor on the next quote but then told me about some dealer added accessories that amounted to $1549 making the negotiated price $60835. I was putting $4000 down and my tax rate was 8 percent. and a 595 doc fee. The calculator said $631.64 but his calculation was $684.80. I'm assuming he was lying about the .00170 money factor. I finally talked to him on the phone and we went back and forth and he was a total dick. My first calculations before he added the accessories was around $583 for a 36/12. Was I being naive thinking I would get that deal? Thanks in advance for any feedback.

You can get a bad deal, or a bad person to deal with anywhere. Try other dealers

When I look at the lease calculators on the dealers website, the monthly payment is pretty far off. I'm assuming that the money factor used in those calculators is quite high.

I guess the thing you have to calculate is how much of your trade equity is going to pay for upfront costs:
1st payment, lease acquisition fee, dealer/doc fee and DMV fees.

Ask for the adjusted CAP cost with an itemization, and you'll see where the money is going. They give you bits and pieces, but until they hit you with the actual number, and how they got there, you can't see what's behind the payment.

Your calculations are fine.. you just don't know what the actual price is.

If you get close, just tell them you'll pay $XXX/mo with just your trade in, and see if they bite.
