Hi - looking for advice on if this is a good lease? My zip code (10514). Also, what is the MF and RV?

2024 Grand Wagoneer Obsidian Series 11

    What is Dealer cash? Is it coming from the manufacturer or the dealer?

    Yes - Obsidian is a factory package/option and this is a Grand Wagoneer Series 2.

    Yes - $2500 is the full amount I pay due at signing. No tax, 1st month or security deposit. Tax is rolled into the monthly payment.

    Dealer is stating .00185 MF and 42% RV on a US Bank lease (apparently Chrysler terms aren’t competitive). Buyout at end of lease is $46.674 60.

    Dealer owns a Ford dealer so they are claiming they are paying off the remainder of the lease using a trade-in budget they can tap. I won’t be responsible for any over mileage or damage (there isn’t any). So yes, it’s likely factored into my deal somehow, but they aren’t buying the car to put on their used car lot.

    Taking 7500/yr mileage bc I’ve learned after 10 leases that on a trade, no dealer cares what the mileage is as long as it’s within 15k/miles year. You simply end up paying more during the lease for no advantage in the end unless you turn back the car to the dealer you bought it from at the end of the lease, which I never do. Residual values are a guess by the lender and they largely guess wrong, so why pay them more for no benefit?

    We don't have the US Bank programs. Ours are from SFS. Dealer cash is Jeep to dealer money, that hopefully results in a lower selling price.

    The problem with not taking the mileage allowance you need is that now you're shopping early, and possibly getting a worse deal, because you have to trade in a car that has negative equity. And, if you don't do that, you have massive charges coming at lease end. By taking the lower allowance, the payoff is higher on your trade, and the negative equity is worse. You might not see it in the calculation for this deal, but it's there. No free lunch. All you've done is create a higher payment for the next vehicle.

    All that stated, the deal looks pretty good. I can see why they used US Bank. The adjusted CAP would have to be about $90,600 to get that payment, with the terms you listed.

    Bad news: It's really hard to trade out of a US Bank lease early. I tried in 2020 for a Tacoma, and literally couldn't do it. My only choice would have been to buy the vehicle, pay sales tax, then trade it in, myself.

    But, if you take that financing, you give up all incentives
