So I’m going thru this with my dealer right now and he said the same thing that the $7500 Federal Tax Credit is included in the lease residual (63% in my case).

I did the math for him like you said, and told him that things don’t add up. We’ll see what he has to say….

….And he said the 63% RV is adjusted higher (because of the $7500 tax credit) on EV’s unlike their ICE vehicles, where the RV is roughly 50% since there is no tax credit for those. So if you subtracted $7500 from the RV of 63%, you would end up at a RV of 50%

I don’t like it, but that’s their explanation/rationale at least.

So, check with a second (or third) dealer, and see if the stories match up. I'm guessing they will, but then you should be more comfortable with the numbers if they come from multiple sources.
