May I please have the numbers for the Mach-E Premium EXT range AWD in 07002 - 36/15,000, 39/15,000 and also at 36/18,000, 39/18,000?

Please pick one mileage allowance - how many do you think you'll need?

Anyone has any update on the below?

"Ford is recalling approximately 197,000 Mustang Mach-E SUVs from the 2021-2025 model years due to a potential lockout issue. The recall, prompted by a risk of passengers, especially children, being trapped inside the vehicle, involves a powertrain control module replacement. Ford has also halted sales of the Mach-E due to this recall. "

Halting new cars sales due to the issue? While Ford sponsored incentive runs out on July 7?
Possibility to lock the prices on leasing before July 7?

    You know what we know.

You'd have to check with your dealer about pricing.

But, once the current programs end, that's it. The new programs will take effect.

What would be a fair price per mile for GT models if I exceed my annual lease limit?
    For 36/15,000 & 36/18,000?

    For 36/15,000 & 36/18,000?

It's fixed by the bank - generally .20 or .25 per mile.

Get the number of miles you think you'll need; they are way cheaper to get them up front rather than having to pay a mileage penalty when you return the car.

How those penalties are calculated? Each year? Or for the entire lease term? If I exceed per year but not exceed per entire term of 36 months would there still be penalty?

What are the resources to look up a standard lease terms guidelines when it comes to lease breaking penalties et al? To be aware what the standards are, so not be taken any advantage to sign a lease with some excessive penalties for extra miles, for lease termination etc?

We don't have any resources for that.

IMO, if you think you might have to break a lease, then don't lease.

I signed a lease for Mach-E Rally 36/18,000 on the last weekend of June in NJ. The last step in the process after all price negotiations with sales were over was signing a bunch of forms in the financial office. That's where they got me))) I think... The manager convinced me to sign a service contract for 48 months / 60,000 miles stating that since my lease would exceed by mileage (54,000 per 36 months) manufactures warranty (36,000 per 36 months) so I would be better off to buy that extra warranty at the point of sale since the cost of buying it at the point of sale would be so much less than buying it down the line. He actually mislead me by stating much less price for the contract that the actual cost of that contract was.... Once I got home and read carefully the paperwork I discovered that the cost of that extra 48/60,000 protection plan is $1,717.00. Reading through the actual contract terms I found that it's rather useless and would not give me any extra protection on the top of Ford manufactures warranty.
I'm still entitled (within 30 days) according to the contract terms to cancel that 48/60,000 protection plan and get back 100% refund directly from the company that issued that: FIDELITY WARRANTY SERVICES, Deerfield Beach FL.
He also convinced me to buy Wheel & Tire protection warranty from the same company giving me 50% discount as being a Costco member for $668.00.

I think I am going to keep Wheel & Tire on, as Rally rims and tires rather expensive to replace out of pocket in case of damage but to cancel 48/60,000 protection plan for $1,717.00 as rather useless at this point. If the car will make it to closer to expiration of Ford's warranty of 36/36,000 then I would buy any extended warranty that will be available at that point.

Any suggestions are highly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

If you don't want it, and you can cancel, no reason not to.

But, one out of warranty expense could easily cost more than the $1700 the warranty costs.

But the issue here is... whether it is feasible to buy an extended warranty for the car once original manufacture warranty by Ford 36/36,000 goes away? If that is possible why to waste $$$ today to duplicate an existing manufacture warranty? Or buying such extended warranty after 36/36,000 would cost much more than $1,700???

I don't know what the cost of the warranty would be in 3 years ... assuming simple inflation, likely more than the $1700 it would cost today.

I'm not advocating that you should purchase it, just making the argument why you might want to.

@apprentice75 It isn't even a Ford warranty. You'll only be out of warranty for one year and 18K miles. No way I'm paying $150/mo to cover my car for a year. Take a chance.

I wouldn't buy wheel/tire insurance, either, but maybe that's just me

@apprentice75 If you plan on keeping the car past the 3/36 bumper to bumper warranty, then consider at that time just before it expires, to pay for a FORD extended warranty.
Check the Ford extended warranty T&C as there are LOTS of coverage exclusions.
3rd party warranties are usually not worth the paper they are written on.

Good catch... just called Ford extended warranty plans and they quoted me the same (or likely better) coverage, same terms for 4 years / 60,000 miles at $1,090.00. Almost 40 % less than 3-d party. Guess that's the way to go.
    Thanks.
