Generally, it’s the dealer location that determines the programs. But, because SouthEast Toyota Financial is a separate entity from Toyota Financial Services, you could encounter problems trying to lease outside of the region.

Hello, did the residual values change for 2026 Prius PHEV SE? For 36/12, it was 67% but now the dealer says its 70%. I leased on 9/1 and now they came back with new paperwork and asking me sign as they say programs changed. While the monthly payment is the same, the residual went up by $1400 and I am unwilling to sign this updated terms.

New programs were released on the 3rd.

Why are they asking you to sign new paperwork?

Location: NC. They could not process the lease because they made an error and applied 2025 terms to 2026 Prius PHEV SE I leased. Apparently Toyota raised the residual values from 67% to 70% for 2026. They reworked and kept the monthly payment the same but with higher residual. I declined to sign if I have to pay additional $1400 in residual (assuming I buy-out). Finally, they lowered my monthly payments to account for the difference and I ended up getting my monthly payment lowered from $370 to $335.

Seems like a win-win.

And yeah, the bank will reject the contract if the residual is wrong, for whatever reason. Seems like an honest mistake from the dealer.
