Tustin Mazda (southern california) claims Mazda is difficult with powertrain claims and other service so offers its own mostly-self-owned extended warranty for CPO vehicles. As there is a 2025 class action suit pending against 2019-2024 turbo (models with skyactive-g) for coolant leak engine destruction not being covered by mazda extended warranty is it prudent or a red flag?

"Mostly"? What company is writing the policy, then research them.

I'm gonna guess it isn't any better than any other 3rd party warranty company.

So, it's not "certified" pre-owned, it's just a used car that they say might suck, so they can sell you a 3rd party extended warranty.

If you think the car might suck, buy a different car. If it's just them trying to sell add-ons, maybe find a different dealer?
