The new redesigned Murano is coming out early 2008 and possibly may have 3 rows of seats. We'll know in it's debut in the LA auto show.
They're just playing the numbers, trying to squeeze the most out of sales and clear out the 2007s.
Naturally this encourages dealers to lie about certain things.
Looking at Chicago area dealer inventories it appears 07 Limiteds are nearly gone but there are lots of GLS and SE still around. Since SF is priced so well relative to the competition, it seems like more buyers are splurging for the fancy model than Hyundai expected. They're going to have to firesale the 07 GLS and SE leftovers soon -- I suspect even better deals on these may be around the corner. I also think the first 08s seen on dealer lots will likely be Limiteds.
I suspect the 08 production mix will include more Limiteds and less of the other trims.
The 2008 haven't hit the dealerships just yet.
My wife and I both love manual trannies and are so thankful that Hyundai still offers a stick. It's a rarity in the US market.
We are in the shopping phase and don't own a Santa Fe. I only wish that it was a wee bit smaller for better parking in our garage, but so far it's a front runner on my wife's list.
Exact same unit but santa fe will get a different bezel around it.
Where is the filter? I was looking at a 2.7 today and couldn't find it; not sure if it's hidden by the under engine panel. Is it in front of the block or to the rear of the block? Thanks.
That being said we still like the santa fe. But wish they knew their own product.
There's something strange in their '08 pricing. Some are shown as being priced around $1000 under invoice while others are priced roughly $700 over invoice. I can't see any pattern; the ones whose numbers I looked at are all 2008 Limited AWDs.
For goodness' sake -- no wonder I couldn't find it. Thanks for the help.
We are trading off a Honda 2007 Odyssey because it is the dusties, dirtiest vehicle we have ever owned (even though it has never been driven with any windows open) and Honda will not do anything about it.)
Think about it. How could air be coming in the door handle? Of course if a door gasket was misaligned, you might have the same symptom, but you would hear it and still feel it with the sunroof closed.
I know dealers have wildly differing prices. On my last vehicle I paid $5,000 less on a base minivan and want to be wise to do the same on a SF.
Where are you finding the "$1000 Under Invoice" prices? and how do you know the true invoice price which I find differs from dealer to dealer?
Please give your advise and info.
Thanks very much.
Please tell me what that code name was.
Thanks.
I'll have to see what the heat of a Phoenix summer does when the a/c runs all the time, but so far, I'm very pleased.
Dealer also set the locks to engage at 15 mph, was in and out within 15 minutes.
That door locking thing is really annoying? Does anyone know if it can be reprogrammed not to do that?
CR names Santa Fe a "Top Pick" for 2008
I have owned a 2007 and a 2008 and both are excellent. My dealer has went way beyond in meeting all my needs, that is why I went back and got the 2008. They made me a deal just too good to pass up. One point of interest and too my surprise was my insurance premium dropped in half over my previous cars. Thanks Hyundai
You asked the right question(s). I had a defective air pressure monitor and found out to replace it would cost $35.00. I told the dealer to just put in a regular valve and I will check my tires.
Ehy is there a tire pressure sensor? Is it primarily to alert you to a tire with with the wrong pressure (usually, low) and second, of the possbility of a roll-over? If so, I asked myself, if I can detect a roll-over before I actually roll-over? The answer is "Yes." I would also think that my realization that a roll-over is about to happen would be much faster than my monitoring of dashboard lights and thus, take appropriate actions. In reference to a abnormal pressure in the tire. I normally check my tires due to the fact that all tires will leak (It just depends on the rate of the leak.). Thus, knowing that tires will leak, I check the tires and correct the air pressure at the time.
NOW, the real question: Do you really need to have a tire pressure monitoring system at all? When one considers the time spent on trying to find out why a monitor light is on in addition to getting the monitor fixed, if defective, the cost-benefit ratio is high i.e., high cost in resource time and replacement of monitor (typically, $35.00/monitor). Obviously, one has to take into consideration other factors such as, not wanting to check the tire pressure manually, the risk of roll-over if tire pressure is not checked, etc. However, if you check your tires on an appropriate basis, not only will you correct any air pressure problems found but also, it gives you the opportunity to look at each tire for abnormal wear, etc.
