If you can get a larger throttle body plate that might give you 5 HP for $300---if you can find one for your car---might be tough.
An exhaust header pipe would give you maybe 2HP, or 3 HP.
A free flow muffler (cat-back) might give you 1 or 2 HP.
That's about it for the "cheap" stuff...figure 10 to 20 HP for $1,000. That's not too bad.
Otherwise you need to pretty much start taking apart the engine and spending lots of $$. At that point with a car like yours, you might consider just investing in a faster car, because your 3000 has a big weight problem, which is a tough issue to solve.
You might try JACOS
Also try some local tuner shops that specialize in JDM parts. They should be able to get you anything in the Japanese Ralliart catalog.

Its a chicken before the egg kind of thing. Currently I think AEM has a cold-air intake and I think Greddy might have an exhaust but so far that's pretty much it, short of adding nitrous.
Greddy's turbo kit they showed at SEMA was said to be very close to production. So I'd say start calling and e-mailing them for it.
Beside the K&N upgrade, Razzi has a bodykit for this model. Progressive and Tanabe will be coming out next month with lowering spring kits and Tanabe has a medallion exhaust kit on the way to. STRperformance has an assault bodykit for this car. Venom is working on a nitrous kit for the GT model should be out in a few months. Hope this give you some ideas.

I need help to figure out the wiring for 3 wires (coming out of the tranny). Its a for a sensor, and the 3 lines were cut. So I need to know which goes where because the colors don't match. Its black, green/yellow, and green/black. The new colors are black, green, blue.
Can someone help me?
If you can compare the colors and the order of the lines coming from the tranny (left to right).
I'm planning on purchasing an Eclipse GT in the US, due to the very favourable exchange rate (roughly $8,000 CDN savings after accounting for the GST requirement at the border, plus customs levies); but apparently the US model doesn't meet Canadian bumper requirements (the intercooler can be damaged in an 8 km/h impact); does anyone know the approximate cost I'd be facing to bring the vehicle in line w/ Canadian bumper requirements?

I'm not sure about a larger throttle body. I hear all kinds of conflicting data on that...
As for RamAir, that is not something easily or cheaply accomplished in the aftermarket and essentially doesn't really help a whole lot in terms of HP. Forced induction (Supercharging or Turbo) gives significant HP gains but are very expensive to do correctly and often involves a lot of modifications to the motor, cooling system oil system and sometimes the body of the car itself.

Don't know if he has them in black, as mine are chrome, but you can search ebay and see. There are lots of sellers of lights there, but this guy shipped fast and the quality is excellent. They have been in my car for a couple of months and I have had no problems with moisture or anything else.
