    Elm-

Do you still want to go Sunday? Any one else?

Booked my hotel for Thursday and Friday night. We're making it a family vacation, the whole gang is coming, even the nanny.

We'll be at the Residence Inn by Marriott Philly City Center. It's a block from the center, so we'll walk.

I figure we'll arrive Thursday night, then make it in to the show leisurely on Friday. Stay for Friday dinner, and spend another night just to take our sweet time. They have an indoor pool for the kids. :-)

We still have to meet up somewhere, maybe at the entrance? I have a message to Patti to set up a time and place, plus we should exchange phone #s.

I'll start by e-mailing my cell phone to Bob, paisan, and Patti. I suggest we meet at noon at one of the entrances, is that time OK for everyone?

Is your cell the same # I have? Also my cell # is on my website for AZP listed in my profile so whoever needs it, it'll be there.

I believe the main entrance is on Market Street.

OK, Market Street entrance, inside, noon?

Still waiting to hear from Patti. She has the tix so we're not getting in without her! :-)

Noon works for me too; assuming it works for Patti.

I was planning to take the train and arrive at 12:30 but I'll just hop on the train an hour earlier.

Juice / Bob - emailed you my cell # (actually digital communication device # :-) ) to the addresses in your profiles.

She's swamped at work but I did manage to reach her to solidify some plans.

Let's meet at 12:30 pm, Market Street entrance. She has a meeting until noon so 12:30 works best.

Who is going? So far I have:

    DaveM
    Bob
    paisan
    Patti
    Patti's 2 daughters
    juice
    Ms. juice
    juice jr.
    baby juice
    nanny juice

    Should be a good group!

    paisan

Hey... I'm still down if you're going...

Seems like it's just us unless someone's coming last minute. I'd like to go early (but not at 7am either) so we don't get back late night.

    If that's ok with you...

How do you want to go about this?

*So, Subaru's letting us sit in the car? ~ That's really the main reason why I'm going... it'll be my decision whether I wait or jump to a G35 :p

Sunday morning works for me. Does anyone know the shows hours? Or a link to where it is, how much are tix, etc? Appreciate it.

I you want, you can email me at home: bat1161@aol.com

I'll stop by and pick you up. This will give me a chance to break in my new toy(as my wife calls it), a GPS system. It should get me right to your door, then to the show.

OK, looks like we'll get inclement weather on Friday. They're calling for sleet, snow, and freezing rain.

That means I expect you all to get there early, since there will be less traffic. :o)

Even if the '05 Outback is not being displayed at Philly, is it possible to have '05 Outback brochures and media kits available?

    Thanks Dave.

    Everyone enjoy tomorrow!

Elm- Do you want to meet say around 8:30-9? This way we should get down there by 11.

    Mark
  • dcm61dcm61 Member Posts: 1,567
Now that the plan is to meet at 12:30, I'll just chance it and take the train that's scheduled to arrive below the convention center at 12:25.

I'll give Bob or juice a call on their cell if the train's running late.

    See you all tomorrow. :-)

Looks like I'll have the tix. Patti is sending them to my hotel just in case the weather causes traffic delays.

So look for me, I'll have my wife and 2 kids, plus a nanny with me. Bob and paisan have my cell phone, I think Dave also. If anyone else wants it just e-mail me.

How about inside the Market Street lobby near the up escalator (just past the Hard Rock Cafe) at around 12:30 to 12:45 pm?

Edit: How many tickets are you going to have? I think Patti was going to get 12 total. That should cover everybody since kids 6 and under are free.

    DaveM
  • ateixeiraateixeira Member Posts: 72,587
Hard Rock is inside the center? Really?

  • dcm61dcm61 Member Posts: 1,567

    DaveM
  • ateixeiraateixeira Member Posts: 72,587
OK, next to the up escalator. If you're early just call me, I should have the tix with me.

For the tickets, bag of goodies, etc.

It was nice to finally meet you in person at the Philly Auto show.

Nice to see juice (and family), Bob, paisan, and hypov too.

Patti - tell Erik that we appreciated the ride in his Sti to / from the restaurant. It would have been a long walk in the rain. :)

    Dave-
I see you got home safe too :D

    Patti-
It is certainly a pleasure to finally meet you too [since 1998?] and thanks for getting us the tickets and goody bag. :D

juice, Bob, good seeing y'all again.

Now, to think of a way to get another car, the GT turbo, into the family.

Had a great time yesterday with a bunch of Crew members: Patti and family, juice and family, Dave and family, paisan and hypov (is that paisan and family?). We all went out to dinner later, and we were joined by one of Patti's partners in crime, Eric, a product specialist at SOA.

It was a long day, however. I left home around 10:00 am, and didn't get home until 10:30 pm. The way up was all hard, driving rain; the way home was dark, fog and drizzle. It's about 125 miles from home to Philly Convention Center.

I left my house just before 10 am and arrived home around 10:30 pm. And I only live about 35 / 40 miles from Philly!

We didn't visit the Saab display (or I didn't anyway). Anybody notice if the the 9-2x was there at Philly?

    Bob
  • rshollandrsholland Member Posts: 19,788
if you all that go to the show today are wondering what happened to the '05 Legacy i's cargo cover, I stuck it under the floor in its storage compartment. I wonder if any of the reps at the Subie booth realized that, and put it back in place? :)

    Bob
  • rshollandrsholland Member Posts: 19,788
I sure feel like a dummy!

I just checked the Philly Show web site, and discovered I missed seeing two floors! One of those floors had the Saab display.

  • dcm61dcm61 Member Posts: 1,567
Yup, it was there. Looked better in person than in the pictures. Didn't look at the interior though.

  • bigelmbigelm Member Posts: 995
Were you able to sit in the new Leg?

That's my main reason for going!
  • dcm61dcm61 Member Posts: 1,567
in 2.5i Limited wagon, but not 2.5GT sedan.

    DaveM
  • ateixeiraateixeira Member Posts: 72,587
My daughter snuck up on the stand and nearly got in the sedan. They finally caught up to her, hee hee.

Great show. You guys should have stayed like I did at a hotel. I hit the pool, chilled out, slept in. Had a free breakfast (included w/room stay), hit the pool again, then went to see the Liberty Bell and got a pizza on South Street.

Just got home and all is well. Good to see all of you guys.

Ok.. Good! At least I'll get a 'feel' of what to expect when and if I order my car.... ;-)

Hey Mark, sorry I didn't get a chance to call you today as I said I would... my son is sick and I didn't have time with all the running around today. I'm still down for tomorrow morning ;-)

    Elm-
No problem. Hpe he is okay. See you in a few hours.

    Dave & Mike-
I just checked the board now, so I figure it's too late to call Paisan. I'm leaving SI around 8 am or so to get Elm, then we're off to Philly.

Any further word on the SIA plant in Indiana? I'm just trying to get vacation scheduling done for May-July.

It's a long drive for the kids, I may go alone. We'll see. I'm still interested.
