Is there any fee for getting the 0%? Also is it normal for Toyota dealer to charge extra fee in addition to tax and registration?
    Thanks.
  • mcjazzzymcjazzzy Member Posts: 62
There shouldn't be any extra fees except the normal title fees and taxes...You have to qualify to get the 0%.

We just bought a 2008 Sienna LE Salsa Red with EVP#2, mats and alloys. $24,900 all in out the door (price for just the van was $22,900) from Cobb County Toyota in Kennesaw, GA. We feel like we got a great deal and the internet department at the dealership was extremely easy to deal with.
  • perl5perl5 Member Posts: 17
    Price is after rebate, right?
  • ericsiennaericsienna Member Posts: 2
Yes, $22,900 was after the $2,000 rebate.

just bought a 08 LE AWD with EVP#2, spoiler, VIP security, the mats, towing package and running daylight for $28000.. that's about $200 under invoice.. took the 0% financing.. seems like they're willing to deal, since it's month end and trying to get rid of the 08 models..
  • perl5perl5 Member Posts: 17
you paid 28k with financing for LE AWD and extra option? must be a good deal!
  • forbiddenforbidden Member Posts: 12
No fee for 0% financing as stated in an earlier post you just have to qualify. I only paid tax, title, and a $100 document fee.
  • lost_in_spacelost_in_space Member Posts: 3
    I found '08 LE with EVP#2,RL,16"Alloys = $24,892
Is this fair, too high, or a steal?
  • ateixeiraateixeira Member Posts: 72,587
Last year that would have been a steal but today it's merely a fair.
  • lost_in_spacelost_in_space Member Posts: 3
I didn't think it was a steal either, but I didn't want to overpay either.

Team Toyota was the only dealer that had the model in stock and they even matched the fitzmall price, otherwise they wanted to get over $25,400. They were really easy to deal with, although my wife feels we should've waited for a better deal. I didn't see many dealers near me with any '08 Sienna inventories at all.
Fitzmall only had a couple left over.

I orginally wanted an XLE with EVP#2, again no '08 stock with dealers near me.
Cherry hill toyota had one, but they were a little further.
Thank U ateixeira. At least it's comforting to know, that I didn't get taken.
  • ateixeiraateixeira Member Posts: 72,587
You paid $500 less than I did, and I don't think I got taken. ;)

    All,

Just wanted to share my pricing on 2008 Sienna XLE Ltd FWD, EVP # 1 (DVD Ent), HID + Laser Cruise - MSRP of $37864, looks like got a decent deal from Team Toyota, PA, almost $1000 less than invoice, and got out the door (incl Tax, title) $36,702, with 0 APR.

Just wanted to say, it was a pleasant experience dealing with Team Toyota sales person Phil Selby.

P.S. forgot to mention, I live in NJ, and paid NJ tax.

    Thanks,
    Siennab

    Any experience shared is appreciated.

 Does toyota offer 0% financing every year?? I just purchased an 08 xle w/0% financing and I like the car but I really wanted the limited evp#2. Most dealerships didnt have the color I wanted (no beige for me) or they wanted to high ball. Anyway, I'm thinking about trading in my 08 for an 09 if the right financing deal comes along. I've never traded in a vehicle before. I plan on installing an overhead dvd player and wonder if this will work for or against me? How does the whole trade in process work anyway? Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

I just paid $24,948 for the same car (also had tow prep pkg), before rebates and TTL. Is the 24,892 the OTD price?
  • yarwaawyarwaaw Member Posts: 7
If you're going to trade, why not wait for the complete redesign in 2010?
  • mcjazzzymcjazzzy Member Posts: 62
I hope they do away with the "smiley face" grille. :
  • lost_in_spacelost_in_space Member Posts: 3
    That was OTD.
you got Tow package for $60 more...WOW...so it seems you did real good.
  • ateixeiraateixeira Member Posts: 72,587
Meh, I kinda like it. The headlights especially. To me the 2004-2006 models seem dull in comparison.

Having said that I did not like the concept that's supposed to inspire the next Sienna, it looked like a Ford Aerostar.

    Hi Raidersfan75,
If you happen to see this message can you please let me know the dealer name from where you purchases in CA Bay Area.
  • forbiddenforbidden Member Posts: 12
I happen to like the current design. Im not 100% sure that's what Im actually going to do. Based on the pics that I viewed of the new 2010- I definitely like the current model. As of this weekend, circuit city will be installing an 11" jensen overhead dvd player for the little ones (hard wire fm modulator-based on feedback in this forum). Kind of nervous since Im not going with Toyota but I'm sure everything will be ok. I just dont want to give them a reason to void a warranty for work provided by another entity.

You know, I have looked and looked at mine for the "smiley face" , and I have yet to see it! If it looks "smiley", that's great.... matches my feeling for my van! :shades:
  • bretajohnsonbretajohnson Member Posts: 1
Does that price include sales tax? If so, what was the tax rate?
  • perl5perl5 Member Posts: 17
what do u guys thinks will be for next month? 0 apr for 36 month?
  • mcjazzzymcjazzzy Member Posts: 62
I have a 2006 Sienna LTD AWD w/ run flat tires..I have to replace all 4 tires since having the car in November of 06, last year I replaced one that had a nail in it and again I have a nail in one of them. I don't need to tell you guys how expensive it is to replace so my question is, can I put regular tires on my car?
  • laurenpedorenlaurenpedoren Member Posts: 15
without a doubt. you can order them with or without run flats. my sister hated them on her BMW they rode very rough, she went to good years. you will also have to think about a spare.
  • amyscaramyscar Member Posts: 12
We paid invoice minus the $2K rebate. In Kirkland, WA OTD price was $36,xxx (including TTL.) :shades:
  • si88si88 Member Posts: 39
I was told a few months ago this 07 Sienna was driven by the wife of the dealership and has less than 5000 miles on it. I still see it listed on their inventory website asking $37,878 MSRP full list. I need to pick one up before months end. How much of a discount should I expect and what can I get them down too?
  • amyscaramyscar Member Posts: 12
Sounds like a lie. Was probably a rental (for toyota owners when their car is in the shop), I would never buy it unless you got it for kbb.com private party used price & they threw in extended warranty for free. I would probably look up the VIN too , just to be safe.
  • ateixeiraateixeira Member Posts: 72,587
That's very close to the threshold where it would be a used car.

Honestly, the Sienna is available in abundance. They should be discounted heavily, that one even more so.

That sort of sticker should price out in the low 30s.

A demo like that, very low 30s.

They are out of their minds. I seriously doubt they could get $33k for that.
  • si88si88 Member Posts: 39
I was just mentioning that they had it listed on their website for full MSRP. I know they will discount it but just not sure how much and was trying to get an idea.

My situation is I am returning a leased 05 Tundra that I am 12K over the mileage plu sthe truck has some minor fender bender damage and a crack in the windshield that they will hit me up for probably. Question on that, should I get these items repaired before returning the truck (other than the mileage) or try to negotiate with them about it?

Need to get the minivan by this Friday the 26th for work purposes.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

    Steve
  • ateixeiraateixeira Member Posts: 72,587
Well, I was in a similar situation and I fixed the windshield myself.

Here's what happened - the dealer appraised my trade and deducted $250 for a cracked windshield. I got it fixed for $180, or $160, I don't recall exactly. It was a simple fix and cost me less, plus I had no crack for that last week or two.

I ended up selling the car privately, but it passed inspection and that helped sell the car more quickly, so again, it was easily worth the money.

My guess is a Toyota dealer will charge you more to fix it, so unless you value the convenience that much, I'd fix it before turning it in.

A local best price dealer has few Certified pre-owned 2008 LEs with the EVP #2 (dual power sliders, power driver's seat, overhead info display) for $19991. They all are rental returns from Hertz or Enterprise with 20-25K miles. Does $19991 sound like a fair price?
  • rburrice75rburrice75 Member Posts: 4
    Eilros,

Where in Indiana is this deal?
  • ateixeiraateixeira Member Posts: 72,587
That's a pretty good discount, probably about $4000-4500 off the current new price.

But...it's a rental car, and they get used pretty hard. Often they are airport shuttles so they handle a variety of people and probably luggage, none of them with any pride of ownership.

At least look them over very carefully.

    Hi,
I have had a very bad experience with these guys. They cannot fulfill their false promises after you buy a vehicle from them. I have lost a lot of sleep over the crap that I have to deal. They sold me a jeep (piece of junk) and tricked me into paying rediculous price telling me how they have hundreds of thousands of dollars which is just allocated to serving customers in case something goes with it right after the purchase. They now will not help me and my jeep is falling apart part by part. They told me that they have spent 2500 dollars for servicing it in their shop but apparently they did not even clean it before they gave it to me. After they got my money they attempted to clean it by investing 5 minutes into it. I opened the hood and dicovered gunk and bunch of grease. I showed it to the guy who sold this to me. That was the first time they pissed me off. That shows how much they care about you once they lay their hands on your money. I am still struggling with them since I discovered that my starter gave up as soon as I got home. Then I discover severe damage and cracked doors and broken welds on the doors. Also a lot of rust. I am jsut wondering what did they spend theat 2500 dollars on. I do not even see a single screw replaced. The dash is cracked, the rubbers around the doors are craked and water goes into the doors which damaged the panels. I washed the jeep and noticed water on the carpet.
I took it to the body shop and they gave me 2600 dollar estimate. I just feel cheated as people made promises to me over the phone when i told them this. Later they backed off and said we never said that we will take care of this. I wish I had recorded that conversation. I do not know how they can sleep at night after they screw many innocent customers/citizens all day long. My advice is to take a print out of this and show it to them and then walk away. Also, stay away from Milton Martins.
    Thank you

I'm also looking at a Certified 2006 XLE with package #2 that has been on the dealer's lot since the middle of July (there are actually 3 used Siennas that have been there since mid-July). It has 31,000 miles and the asking price is $21,900. How long do dealers usually keep cars on their lot before they send them to auction? What would be a fair price to offer?

Is there an easy way to search 2008 Sienna inventory on a regional or national basis?

I am seeking to purchase a 2008 Sienna AWD XLE evp#2 or greater (e.g. XLE Limited) in silver, black, green, but am having difficulty finding one in my region.

What discount (if any) should a dealer offer for a Sienna that has an invoice date showing the vehicle was on the lot for 7 months? :confuse:

I am hoping to pay the Consumer Reports "bottom line price" (or less) on a Sienna.
  • turo0002turo0002 Member Posts: 10
Any updates on time line for a Sienna Hybrid? Will the AWD be available as a hybrid?

    Prior update available at linky
  • eilroseilros Member Posts: 35
Talked with the salesman today and there are only willing to come down to $21,400. That doesn't seem like much of a deal. Or is it?
  • joebertjoebert Member Posts: 22
No, that is not much of a discount. Its not much more to get a new one right now. You might consider a new Honda and install the DVD on your own.
  • nastacionastacio Member Posts: 370
Our local dealer is asking invoice + $300 - $2K rebate for 2008 models.

Just purchased a silver 2009 Sienna LE FWD with EVP#2, 16" Alloy wheels, daytime running lights/de-icer package, and floor mats in Arlington VA.

Price OTD was $25,713 - this included $863 in TTL. So cost for van was $24,850.

Seemed like a very decent price but not a steal (about $220 over Consumer Reports Bottom Line Price). Thoughts?

Hoping to gain some insight on purchasing experience in FL for an LE w/ premium package recently. Also, with an 8 & 5 year old, am I crazy not to get leather.

Here's hoping for some whopper October incentives for all... accept those that just bought of course ;) .

    Thanks in advance

Not at all because that vehicle actually costs them more than ordering a brand new one from the factory. They pay to keep the cars on their lots.
