Nice ride. Where was this taken, somewhere in Colorado, I presume?

    Looks sweet! Breath-taking.

The view of the mountains is also nice! LOL

Nice! Did you rotate the tires for the picture so the lettering is up or is that the symmetrical AWD?

I guess the Forester's job is to get you to the slopes in the background.

    Congrats,

Now what woman in her right (or left) mind wouldn't want this? It's the red (which shade name?) that finalized my decision to go 'FORESTER'. Mine is white at the moment and, if I don't go with this 'native' red, it will some day don a coat of pearlescent creamsicle orange...goes better with the platinum base, I guess. I still like the boxier model, though.
    Yummie, nonetheless!

1/18 Autoart models of my real life cars (the model is an STi JDM wagon, but close enough)

I hope you guys don't get offended at the width of that photo!

    Nice fleet! :-)

Mine is close, sort of. Older Miata, Subaru Forester (same chassis at least).

OK, a poor man's version of your fleet.

is not that clean. where are the bicycles and the yard tools?

thats a very clever way to get your cars together for a good photo...shrink the cars!

This thread needs waking up. I found this one browsing my old photo directories. My Outback in Anza Borrego State Park, California.

Steve, you zoomed too far out and nearly lost the subject! ;-)

Great photo. Yes, this thread has become a bit quiet. I think part of it has to do with the difficulty of finding a free on-line photo hosting site.

    Imagestation.com is still free, fwiw.

    on imagestation.

If anyone wants pics put up, let me know I am willing to host them in one of my galleries on my site.

You can still link the smaller pics from Imagestation - the patio picture in my profile is hosted on Imagestation and works fine. If you add the '.orig.jpg' extension to the url, you can get to the original sized image, but yes, you do have to be logged in.

  • locke2clocke2c Member Posts: 5,038
yep you can link the preview size no problem.

  • ateixeiraateixeira Member Posts: 72,587
I believe the person viewing has to be registered, that may be the only catch. But most of us are.

Below should appear an image (the album preview image) of a black XT from the Chicago AutoShow - no logging in needed...

    image

In order to see the larger one (normal size) at this url http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid52/p0c6e0dad3a44f4f6b27b- - af10ee7c0c1b/fc9abc66.jpg.orig.jpg you will need to have an ImageStation account and be logged in. Otherwise, you get one of these (unless you're already logged in or it's in your browser cache - in that case you'll see the large pic):

You are all so kind! Your points regarding subject matter are well taken, I now have a goal in mind for this weekend.

But I did wake up the thread!

Brian, at first I could only see your small picture, and saw that "Sorry.." image before I submitted my post.

After posting, now I can see your large image - without ever being near imagestation. I even have a newish computer, I know I have never entered imagestation site with this one.

    Nice picture.

    Steve-
The first image is llinked with the removal of the extension ".orig.jpg". Only then will others be able to view at this board.

  • subearusubearu Member Posts: 3,613
That is a strange one Steve. At home last night it didn't show the larger image. But, today here at work it is, even though prior to signing in this morning, my browser gets a cache flush and I hadn't told ImageStation to remember my credentials. It must use that first connection when getting the preview pic to establish the larger .orig.jpg version. *shrug*

Anyway, the easiest way to link an image from ImageStation is to right click on the image (when in album view) and choose properties. Copy the URL (removing the .orig.jpg if necessary) and past that in an [img scr=] block (replacing [ ] with < >.

Frank was in town so a few of us SF Bay Area Crew members -- Kate, Jim and myself -- decided to hook up for dinner.

It was great to put some more faces to names and have dinner talking about Subarus without seeing your spouses eyes roll up.

Here's a photo from our dinner:

That would be a great idea, why don't all the crew members post a self photo so we can put faces to all the names.

I will start off here is one of me and wife and best friend.

it's off of my website, and when you view it from within my site, it resizes it to fit your screen (which does nothing for file size I realize).

my RoadRunner cable modem handled it just fine. 8-)

We were at the other Disney last September, they did the ABC fall preview at MGM too.

Jim- FYI, some software programs like Photoshop allow you to save JPEGs at a lower resolution.

    -Frank P.
  • jimmyp1jimmyp1 Member Posts: 640
but it's set up on my site in one way at one resolution, and I'm maxed out on web space, so I can't create a new version even at a lower resolution on it's own url. I don't know net etiquette very well, do you think I should remove the picture?

No Subaru in that pic :-), we were at a wedding this past weekend in La Crosse, WI and took our MPV for the trip (better at fitting 2 kids and their seats, the dw & I, my M-I-L, and our luggage.

That was a picture of an inlet to the Mississippi river.

The Subaru was under water, crossing that river. The snorkel barely pops out so you can't see it. ;-)

Had to be France. Cool RallyX pic.

Here's my best friend with a new one in the making. Erina and I are still getting to know each other, but things are looking promising. ;-)

I also washed my Forester after getting home from work last evening. Pretty good looking for 5 years and 90K miles, I have to say!
