can you send me the link that you used for purchasing the Ext Warranty for your Odyssey. The price and terms you listed sound pretty good.

Where did you purchased Odyssey from? Pretty good deal! I am in Upstate (Albany) NY area and looking to buy EX-L with RES, but not getting any good price.
Any one in this area who got recent good deal--would you please willing to share some info.
thanks,
Mashin
They are very friendly, easy going, and pleasant to work with. Maybe it helps that I live in Gurnee, but let your local dealer know that you are there to help them, and also the factory to move a unit, provide them a reasonable profit, and that honda finance makes their profit also. Make sure they are more concerned with your needs then their own. I had some dealer laugh at my same offer, but they never did.
Go in with an educated offer, and let them know you are ready for quick sale and deal close. I was in and out in 30 minutes from offer to drive off. They spent 1/2 hour and although only made only about $150 on the sale, this is still good business for a dealer who advertises and posseses "MASSIVE INVENTORY". Imagine if they did this with every customer? That is $300/hr, not too bad. And remember they will get some folks who pay excessive amounts, so they will always come out ahead.
Also remember, excess slow moving inventory costs them about $25/day. Use this to advantage in your negotiation.
I forgot to ask for some extras. Try to get what you want at the last minute. Go on the last day of the month if you can, they are at the end of a sales quarter and quota push. They will try to sell a unit if buyer makes it quick and painless. If the dealer you want to buy from waffles, walk away and move on to your second choice dealer. Have that planned out. This will drive them nuts.
Tell them you want to buy from them and you will get your future service done at their dealer. They make more profit in these areas over time anyway.
Good luck and remember, do not get emotional.
Schaumburg Honda - possibly the worst of the bunch!!! First, he called to say that I would have to come to the store to get their best price. When I said no, he sent email with MSRP. After I said that others were much lower, he got beligerent about how the Touring was the most rarest and hardest one to find. Furthermore, he made bogus claims that all the other price quotes were deceitful. Recommend you should not deal with this folks, very childish and untrustworthy. They kept saying $40,000 to the end!!!
Rosen Honda - pleasant sales person, offered at $35,299.
Brilliance Honda - again pleasant sale person who indicated he would not be undersold, offered price of $35,282. However, when given the price to match the lowest bid, they were willing to be undersold.
Muller Honda - very aggressive at following up after providing price quote, offered at $36,781. Salesperson was very disappointed at losing sale and wanted to see all other prices to show his boss why they keep losing the sale.
Gentile Honda - looked across the Wisconsin border to see if they were interested and despite two calls to two separate sales persons, never called back either time (dont understand but guess they dont need the business).
Pauly Honda - dealer closest to home (where I have taken my '99 Odyssey for service for 7.5 years) was very cold to deal with. Offered vehicle at $35,990 and did not really care about what anybody else offered (note: whenever I go there for service, there was never any Touring models in stock).
Castle Honda - offered best price of all with offer of $34,788. Straight forward with no strings attached and price was good until Mar 31/07.
O'Hare Honda - again offered good price ($35,274) with no strings attached but was very good at following up and really reached out to obtain the business. In the end, he lowered his price to within $57 of the price offered by Castle Honda (after I added in the additional cost of an iPod Connector, moon roof visor, 3rd row sunshade and mud guards) and I decided to buy from them given I go back and forth to the airport (and they are relatively close). Total price paid was $35756 including the options.
Apologize for the length of this email but as I derived a lot of benefit from the prior posters in this forum, I felt I should share my experience and prices for the benefit of everyone else. :shades: :shades:
Can you email me the name of the dealer. ldang@netzero.net. thanks.
like the title says i'm buying an Oddy in the near future.
need help figuring out some more recent prices that people have gotten. i just want an Ex-L with no dealer installed options or addons. i plan on putting money down. i would like to buy from a dealer near me but i also want a dealer that operates with integrity some openess when making the deal. recommendations? good experiences? bad ones? please reply, any info is appreciated. i talked to one dealer who said he could get me one while it was in transit, all i had to do was tell him about a month in advance. talked to him for 3 hours last night. what tactics have you used to get them to come down in price?
I am also planning to buy from O'Hare Honda.
What is exactly the price you get before the options?
Can you please breakdown the price for options you get?
I am interested about iPod Connector.
Did you get the extended warranty, HondaCare? Thanks.
I'm planning to purchase in the next couple of weeks. Any advise on this would be greatly appreciated and Thank You.
$34,974.82 (This price includes destination charge but not fees)
iam in the market for honda odyssey 2007 EX-L with R&N
can any one tell me the best deal they got for this in california bay area
thanks
The last quote I received for this vehicle was $30,452.00 plus tax and tags.
I haven't bit yet, still debating on how much the downpayment should be.
this is my 1st post. I am interested in getting a 2007 honda odyssey in my area of Savannah, GA. Has anyone recently purchased one and what was the best deal they got?
I am also a bit undecided on the EX-L 4dr Minivan w/Rear Entertainment or the EX-L 4dr Minivan w/Nav, Rear Entertainment. I guess whichever is best deal.
I have read on the posts that the maps on the Nav. system are not updated and are fairly old compared to the portable GPS units like the Garmin, which are recently updated and easy to operate. The only reason I seem interested in the Honda Nav. system is because it has a back up camera. Does anybody know if honda is offers a back up camera as an accessory or an option without getting the Nav. system. Please Help!!! thanks.
I live in Parsippany, NJ and looking for the best deal on the EXL with Nav and RES. I can travel to NY or PA. I looked at the posts and have seen probably around 30K+ including Dest. Has anyone had a good deal? I need to see a dealer by next week and finalize everything.
Was looking to buy in 2-3 weeks but was told financing offer would end this month. Had a '99 Corolla that I wanted to sell before buying this car, but was low-balled by Crown. They offered me $3200 for a 99 Corolla LE with 70k miles, clean title, original owner. The car is such a beaut, it hasn't even stalled once in 8 years, come rain or shine
Overall, pleasant experience if you know what you are in for. Sales person was very friendly and cordial - which is about par for anyone that is in a customer-facing job (like myself, even). But then having dealt with at least one uber-slimy character previously (355 Toyota of Rockville, MD), I'll take any half-civil car salesman I can get
Price before options was $34,782. Price of the options quoted originally was as follows (from Castle Honda & O'Hare Honda):
iPod Connector - $331 & $343
Moonroof Visor - $$168 & $181
3rd Row Sunshades - $303 & $305
Mud Guards - $109 & $142
Having said that I negotiated a final price of $35,699 with the options. The iPod Connector is just that, it does not allow you to obtain info like playlists or title of song on the Navi screen.
I have not got the Extended Warranty as I have had an Odyssey since 1999 and very little trouble with that car.
i am in the market for honda odyssey 2007 EX-L with R&N
can any one tell me the best deal they got for this in cincinnati / Dayton area
thanks
Thanks for any insights.
So far lowest quote is $30,036 (Immke)
Based on what I've seen posted here, this is "in the ballpark".
I'm curious as to whether I can get the 3.9% financing special. The Honda website did allow me to print out a certificate, but I've had several dealers tell me it wasn't available. I'm not going to take their word, just curious
After driving both in a test drive, we both liked the honda over the toyota as we like the "handing" of the honda better, it drives like a car instead of a boat
So we did the above normal purchasing methods and get a Internet quote from many local dealers for both toyota and honda.
The toyota dealers in our area (midwest) were pretty sad to deal with online as it took 3 or 4 emails just to get the model we wanted and even then in our area stock was VERY limited, not to mention we could not get the model we wanted with the features as "Pkg #? is not available in your area"
The honda dealers seemed to have plenty of all models which I think helped us in the end.
Now to the good stuff.
We went to one dealer and got Internet quotes from several others, the one dealer we went to was just not budging, they were at invoice and WAY to low for our trade-in and didnt seem interested in making the deal.
So the next week we took the lowest internet quote we got and took it to the original dealer we bought our Honda accord with only 50k in miles and started the "bidding"
They instantly matched the other guys price which was under invoice at 35175 which we thought was pretty good.
but, they low balled us on the trade in by offering us 3 grand less then what the car is being sold , not the trade in price ,but sold for.
After several rounds of go talk to the manager, the manager came out to close the deal.
The final offer was
Honda odyssey 2007 touring dvd and nav
$34214
and a 9000 trade in on our car.
This seems to be the lowest price we found talked about here ,however this does include the money maker for the dealer which is the trade-in.
So even though they were REALLY under invoice by 1600 dollars, we might have been able to get more for the car selling it direct ,but they they most likely would not have offered the price on the van.
So it just seems a very fine balance between how far below invoice, the trade in and how close it is to the end of the month!
hope this helps others find the right price.
TIA!
What numbers are you seeing? Are your dealers advertising the 0%-3.9% financing?
I have a trade to contend with - so don't know that I'll see sub $30,000.
In addition, I am trying to find out if the navigation system is worth the extra cost. We do quite a bit of in state travel with kids in sports. Any suggestions?
In addition, I am trying to find out if the navigation system is worth the extra cost. We do quite a bit of in state travel with kids in sports. Any suggestions?
so I figured with the trade in that allowed them to make the deal as they are going to make some on the trade-in.
I am in cheese land so if your up here I can email/pm you where we got the deal.
I think the key factors were trade-in, end of the month and a that fact they were "willing"
one thing I found is if you go to the dealers website you normally can "lookup" there inventory, this allowed me to see they had "alot" of vans on the lot which also would suggest they want to sell them!
I would say they should be able to do 500 - 1000 under invoice with no trade if its a fast sale and maybe they can make something on financing as well.
As far as the features of the van, I am a big techie and I love toys and only being in the car for 1 day now, I really like it.
The nav is fun and practical and for the extra few dollars on a payment its worth it.
you can do simple things in town like know how far its going to take to get to grandma house or with you if there is a soccer game on the other side of town you can have it tell you multiple routes and its integrated nicely into the van. You can always get more features with an after market nav unit ,but the integration was key here.
Here's the thing, The main reasons we went with the limited was it has memory seats and power tail gate, the other models do not. if this doesnt bother you then you can save about 2 grand with one model down and still get nav.
however, the memory seats are a life saver when getting in after your wife cranks the seat up every time she drives
features I really like
memory seats
xm radio
nav and rear seat dvd ( my 2 year old is very content)
power tail gate
110 volt power plug in in the car.
leather
heated seats
voice activated features ( ask the car to set the xm channel to 81 and it will do it )
oh, and it doesn't drive like a boat (toyota sienna)
let me know if you need more info.
J
That includes the destination charge, cross bars, cargo tray liner, and mudguards. It does not include the $218 for TTL.
I originally did not want any accessories and the price was $30,100 but the Ody already had them installed and the dealer was willing to negotiate.
I keep reading all these posts about people getting their Odys for under $30,000 but then again they're in different parts of the country.
Did I get a decent deal? I tried to do my research and I feel good about my purchase but I also second guess myself. I got the 3.9% for 60 mos financing. No trade-in. I put $4400 down also.
Thanks for reading!
