It's the best price I've seen on this board or heard of to date. The lowest price I've been quoted in my region was just above invoice at $28340 +TTL. :)
  • myrebates2myrebates2 Member Posts: 4
    Hi,
Does this price include sales tax? In which state and what is the dealer contact? Appreceiate your reply.
  • cappaccappac Member Posts: 1
Where in Wisconsin? I am also looking at an EX-L and that
    sounds like a decent price.
  • mabazamabaza Member Posts: 21
Sounds like a very good price. Lowest I have been quoted for an EX-L is $28,000 + TTL at Zimbrick Madison.

I think I got a great deal on a 2007 Odyssey LX over President's Day. I was financed at 1.9% for a 3 year purchase (not lease) term. Had to put down &10,000.00 plus there was about $3,000.00 equity in my '03 Odyssey. The payments are $425.00 and includes Honda extended warranty, tax and tags.

I am obligated to post my buying experience in this forum, coz it helped immensely in every aspect of buying a new Odyssey.

Just pulled the plug on a Nimbus Gray Ex-L with R&N yesterday for a OTD of $33,500. This price includes accessories all season mats, cargo net and wheel locks. Dealership is Planet Honda on Rt 22W in NJ and I must say it was very pleasant experience.

If anyone wants to know more details, let me know, I can e-mail them.

Got the 4.9% 60 mo finance too.

Car costs 33K, smiles and excitement on my kids' faces....priceless. I am a happy camper. :shades:

Just started our internet search via email to local dealerships (San Jose, CA 95129) and lowest quote I got so far:

Internet Price (before TTL & includes $750 incentive) = $35288

Edmunds lists Dealer Invoice as $35388 - is this amount accurate?

Thoughts on price? Anyone been offered lower? Any dealership recommendations as I'm willing to drive further? Should I wait until Memorial Day or even July 4th weekend for even better deals? (I'm aware that the 2008's are coming soon, so the longer I wait the less color choices)...

Other notes for this purchase: no trades and will be paying in cash so no financing needed.

    Thanks for any feedback! :)
    Charles

Edit: Are "Tire Fee" ($8.75) and "Documentation Fee" ($55) real/standard fees or just the stealer's load-of-crap fees? BTW, this dealer tells me over the phone that the dealer invoice is $36,336.45, thus my true invoice question above, as that's $948 above Edmund's dealer invoice!

See Messsage #15008. May be LA area is too far for you, or you can just try to negotiate further with dealerships in your area based on my price.
  • tapengltapengl Member Posts: 1
ultfamcar, I live in 95129 as well. I had quote from local and LA dealers few weeks ago. I am looking for EX-L NAV/RES. PENSKY Honda from Ontario quote me $31500 before TTL. At that time, no local dealer can or willing match that price.
The difference is huge. If you don't mind to drive or fly down then give PENSKY a shot. I got these quote through Edmunds. To see PENSKY Honda dealer on Ontario enter zip code 91763.
The lady contact me right away through phone with lowest offer. And accoding to her I may get few hundreds less if I haggle. I personally visit PENSKY delaer 2 weeks ago when visiting my friend live close by. They are the largest Honda dealer in California. Pensky also own Longo Toyota. Hope this help. I think I might get it from them. Please let me know if you could get a good deal from local.

    Hi amurthy,

Thanks for the lead....that's a great price and so far the lowest that I've seen. No, I don't mind going down to LA as I have family down there. If you don't mind, can you please email me your salesperson's name and contact information. I would like to use your purchase as a reference. :)

email: imcharlesl @ comcast.net (take out the spaces)

    Thanks,
    Charles

P.S. What color is your Touring? I like Nimbus Grey but not decided yet until I go see the other colors in person.
  • ultfamcarultfamcar Member Posts: 18
    Hi tapengl,

Thanks for that information. I will get a quote from them too for the Touring and compare it with Hardin Honda in Anaheim (see above post). Can you also email me your salesperson contact at Pensky? Email address in above post.

    Thanks,
    Charles

How much of a discount would be given when the 08's start rolling out? What were the discounts when the 05's became available at dealerships? Since it's getting pretty close to July/August, I'm contemplating whether I should just wait a few more months and pick up an 08. Would be real nice to have Bluetooth and HIDs. BTW, I'm looking for a Touring with NAV/RES.

    Thanks,

No, it does not. The dealer is in Georgia and I will be registering the car in Fl.

Hi, I got my Ody EXL 2 weeks ago at %6.75 rate after long negotiations and w/perfect fiko score. Finance manger swore to me Odysseys do not need any special financing and there won't me any for long time. Guess what - as of today May 10th I see 2.99 for 36 months and 4.99 for 48-60 months...I feel ripped off...Is there anything I can do ?
  • donkeypunch1donkeypunch1 Member Posts: 119
Jake, If you bought in April, a number of states had BETTER rates than exist right now. .9 for 36mos and 2.9 for 60mos. What state are you in? If your in one that had the honda motor apr, I'd talk to the GM of the outfit and tell them you want the rate or that your filing complaint with honda motor, the local commerce org and the better business beureau. I doubt you have much recourse unfortunately because you agreed to the rate...though lied to by the finance [non-permissible content removed] at the dealer.
  • jakefljakefl Member Posts: 21
I am in FL, there was no special deal in FL in April ( but you are correct- most of states had it), I checked very carefully before contacting dealers here.

We're very close to purchasing a 2007 EX-L in Chicagoland area and are wondering if the 26,300 internet price the dealer has quoted is close to reality, and what we should try and include in our price or how might we bargain further. I've seen 2.9% financing as the general offer, though another dealer had a 0.9% offer this week, but their lowest price was more like 28,000+. Thanks!
  • coupedncalcoupedncal Member Posts: 252
$26.3k for an EX-L is too good to be true. If you are being offered this deal, take it now.
  • all4jo1all4jo1 Member Posts: 4
i just went to wyler honda in frankfort ky,
    I have a 2005 chrysler town n country limited with 34,000 miles that i traded in .
07 exl rs+nav MSRP 35,900 settled for 32,000 and offered 15,500 for trade in also kelley book said value for excelent condition should be 14,975 (still owed 9,400 on van).
financed for $24,185 at 4.9 for $455 for 60 months
does that seem like a good deal? or could i have done better?

We're also looking for an EX-L in the Chicago area, but with RES/NAV. Can you tell me which dealership gave you this deal? Thanks!
  • jpmnovajpmnova Member Posts: 15
Anyone out there have any insight as to whether Honda may be doing any special deals (bonus cash, low rates, etc.) for the upcoming Memorial Day Weekend? Not being familiar with Honda - do they do bonus cash on leases ever??
  • jalimeyjalimey Member Posts: 13
It was O'hare Honda, and MacGrath had a similar quote.
  • donkeypunch1donkeypunch1 Member Posts: 119
Jalimey, The best quote I've got for an EXL RES was from Ohare: 28,343 Including Destinaton, only extras would be tax and title. (this is from their internet group). Ask them if your 26K and change price for EXL includes destination, leaving only tax, title, license. (no extras). If you also wouldn't mind asking what they could do if you wanted to add RES to the package, I'd like to see what it does to the cost. (help me negotiate:-) In all seriousness, if you an "ORD" are ready to pull the trigger and both have decent credit, we should band together and tell them we'll all walk in and out with 3 total ODY's if they can make it work. If your 26K+ for EXL includes destination, that sounds like the best anyone has seen. And means I should be able to get the EXL RES for 27,200 +/- few bucks and ORD should be able to get the EXL RES/NAV for around 29,300 +/-. A few months ago those deals would be unheard of. However with gas up, 08 inventory coming in a few months, it's not unheard of. Also, can you tell me was McGrath in St. Charles?
  • ysheldonysheldon Member Posts: 7
Although I am in NY, I am tempted to join you guys. I am looking for EXL. Maybe we can work as foursome. Please let me know.
  • jalimeyjalimey Member Posts: 13
We are pretty much ready to pull the trigger, hubby planning to go in and deal tomorrow. It said incentives and rebates included, but didn't mention the rest. Figured that was the at the table negotiation?

McGrath was 67?? W Grand Ave.

    Here's to a great deal x 3!!
  • stpericstperic Member Posts: 12
I'm in. I was planning to pull the trigger for an EX-L in Wisconsin(Milwaukee) for $27500.
  • donkeypunch1donkeypunch1 Member Posts: 119
Jalimey/ ORD/ StPeric/ NYC! LOL Whoever can hold out until Memorial Day weekend, I'd be interested in working a great deal X 3 or 4 in the Chicago area. I'm not in dire need of the car this week, so I'm going to hold tight to see if Honda offers better financing over the Memorial Day Weekend though end of month timeframe.

Jalimey- if the hubby's going to pull the trigger tomorrow that's cool. Here's my 2 cents...for what it's worth. The price you've been quoted is the best posted in months. the dealer has a good idea of what's what out there, so don't walk in thinking your going to "negotiate better". The point of email negotiation is so that your in control. Once you walk into the lion's den, odds are good your going to come up short. If your really going to buy the car tomorrow, figure out of there's any other accessories that you want. (all season floormats, wheel locks, splash guards are the common ones). Have the hubby call one of the 2 to "qualify" their email offer. "This is for a 2007 NEW (not a demo) EXL, in "color"...whatever you want, and the price of $26,500 (or whatever it was) INCLUDES destination correct? (let them answer...answer should be YES). Ok, so the only addtional charges are tax, title and License Transfer (transfer around $55, tax is standard..whatever county your in) correct? (let them answer...and the answer should be yes). Assuming you get yes on both of these, then say that you want the 2.9 Honda APR for 36mos or 4.9 APR financing for 60 months because your credit is good. Assuming I qaulify, this is not a problem correct? (answer should be yes). Assuming you get YES's to all these (and you MUST or don't go there) tell them that you have the same offer from (wherever it is that you have the offer) and that you will come in tonight to buy the car if they can beat it. Alternatively, throw in season mats, splash guards and we're done, I'll come in now and do the deal. (this is really your last negotiation....should really do this to both dealers to see who comes up best). Whomever gives the best final, honor their willingness to negotiate over email/phone and then go in and make it happen...just making sure that all the prenegotiated terms are met. I'd actually ask/qualify the above in email, so that you have their answers in writing. Some prefer to call at this point, because it lets them know your serious, you exist and are ready to make it happen. Your option... Make sure to get the APR and I woudn't even throw a trade in on top of it unless you absolutely have too. You'll end up losing value in the good deal by inevitably getting a little less for your trade than its worth. Good luck, let us know how goes and who you got it from. If you choose to wait and see about end of the month incentives, let me know that too. Remember Honda has 2.9 for 36 months and 4.9 for 60 months. if your credit is good, don't settle for anything less. Also, my humble opinion, don't buy the extended warranty or any additional garbage. Just get in and out with the deal you noted and you'll be in great shape.

To the others in chicago area;...if your waiting until memorial day, let me know the model (ex/ exl/exl Res, etc. you plan to purchase and your choice of color) we can potentially try to parlait a number of great deals in a few weeks. current rates are good through May, just a matter of risking whether color, model, etc is available. There are a number of dealers with tons of inventory so shouldnt be an issue.

Jalimey, St Peric, Ord, see above post. On 2nd thought, if Grand or McGrath with sweeten your deal and sell me an exl res for 26,900 I'll meet your hubby there tomorrow night or sometime this week. (though tomorrow's prolly to early for Peric or ORD. If anyones interested, email me at donkeypunch827@hotmail.com and I'll send you contact info. If you'd rather do your thing tomorrow on your own,I understand. Mention to them that you have a friend that will come in this week to buy if they can do the EXL RES under 27 and get their feedback. I'd appreciate if you'd post or email me either way to let me know. If you'd prefer I will contact them. Also, let me know the person at grand that gave the quote, as I'd gotten one as well and I dont want to work around that person if they have 3 internet folks. ORD/Peric, etc. whats your timeframe, ad are you guys local as well? Thanks!

We bought our '06 Touring from O'Hare last year for $33,987(including destination) plus TTL. These guys are terrific and have a beautiful brand new shop as well. What's not to like? Good luck to you all!
  • 4bearhug4bearhug Member Posts: 52
It sounds like a quote for an EX, but I hope that you're right. I don't want to be a wet blanket, but it sounds too low to be legit. If that's where the market has gone then these other buyers shouldn't wait any longer. I would buy now because no one has come with $1000 of that price for an EX-L. Let us know how it turns out. Good luck.
  • donkeypunch1donkeypunch1 Member Posts: 119
Jalimey, please let us know how you made out. StPeric/Ramen, I emailed you guys. chk junk folder if you didn't see it. Thanks,
  • jalimeyjalimey Member Posts: 13
We ended up taking the plunge.
$27,059.17 +ttl was the final as they hadn't incl. destination and splashguards and wheel locks in the price originally quoted.

Hubby said that the dealership Ohare was great, and he had a good experience, if a very long day.

Let me know if more details needed,
    Jalimey

Just been quoted online 22,928.70 plus tax and tag. Also quoted on an EXL 27,095.00. They offer the 2.99 percent for 36 months and the 4.99 percent for 60 months. Just want to hear what you guys out there think of this deal?
  • cccompsoncccompson Member Posts: 2,382
You must have a typo somewhere - an EX cannot be bought for less than 23.
  • 4bearhug4bearhug Member Posts: 52
Good job! Sounds like the dealer threw in the $750 dealer incentive that Honda was offering to help move Odys. Most deals in Chicago area had been in the $27,900-$27,600 area so you did very good. Enjoy the Ody.

Just curious, how much did they charge you for title and license?
  • huyqphuyqp Member Posts: 11
drove out last tuesday 5/8/07 for 29.3K out the door. That's a selling price of 27.5K including wheel lock, cross bar, splash guard, door edge guard, 3rd row window shade, cargo tray, and some bogus fabric/leather protection package. I didn't use their finance because the finance guy said it would add $750 to the purchase price. It was late, I was too lazy to go back and renegotiate, so just used my own source.
  • jalimeyjalimey Member Posts: 13
Excellent negotiating on your part!!! We'll know for next time. You got more bits and pieces thrown in than we did for pretty much the same price.

The dealer here did in fact pass on the $750 to us as well as an additional $200 off the original Internet quote and $227 off the cost of the wheel locks and splashguards.

Fees including title and license (new plates) came to $241.
  • ahnjoanahnjoan Member Posts: 3
Is $750.00 for financing a standard practice, I have read back a couple of months on the posts and am a little surprised? Just don't want to get to the signing table an find that steaming pile.

I'm in Virginia, outside the beltway (yes we all have our crosses to bear). I have offered all the local dealers (5 of them) the following.

$27,500 - EX-L, slate green, dark grey leather, X-bar, 3rd row shade, cargo tray, freight, processing, misc add-ons.
    $880 - Tax
    $45 - Tags (1 year)
    $1,175 - 8yr 120k $0 deductible, Honda not third party extended warranty.
$29,600 out the door with 36 month 2.9% financing.

Nobody will call me back and so I must be missing a piece of the puzzle! Thanks for any suggestions.

  • odysseyfan1odysseyfan1 Member Posts: 33
That's quite a deal for 27,500 including lot of adds on you mentioned even here in NC. The best I can get from the dealer here is 27500 for EX-L without any adds-on.

I want to understand that whether they can give more price cut if you finance with them or if you bring your own financing ? Normally it makes sense to offer u better deal if they are financing, but I might be wrong.

It seems windy city giving a best deals I have seen on this list.
  • jalimeyjalimey Member Posts: 13
Our experience was that the financing was completely separate to the deal making.
  • csksisyscsksisys Member Posts: 3
I'm looking for an EXL with DVD in the bucks county pennsylvania area. If anyone has gotten one could you tell me what a fair price is and where it was purchased. I figure around 30,000 without tax, title and destination is fair.

    Thanks

A dealer give me the quote 1200 below invoice, is that a good
    deal right now?
Can I put the carseat on the middle plusone seat?

    Thanks to this forum!

2007 EX-L N+R (slate green/gray leather) with wheel locks, all-weather mats (black), splash guards, cargo tray, pinstripe at approx. $32,000 + 7% NJ tax + $7.50 new tire tax for 5 tires + $40 title fee + $311 (4-year registration) + $79 misc doc fees.

Refused all offers at the finance office. Got the 4.9% financing for 60 months.

Researched online and got the Honda Care for 6 years/120,000 miles $100 deductible in MA for $860.
  • all4jo1all4jo1 Member Posts: 4
hey i just brought a 2007 ex-l n+r too (nighthawk black) for $32,000 also, my question is how did you get the honda care? like did you get it thru dealer ?

Huygp, 27.5K does it include destination charge $595?
    Thanks
  • huyqphuyqp Member Posts: 11
    yes, included dest charge
  • kwitkwit Member Posts: 2
Purchased EXL over weekend paid 27,750 + 299 dest. OTD for 29,000 with the same standard items that everyone else seems to throw in mud guards & wheel locks. Finaced with Honda no extended warranty. Hope this might help someone.
  • donkeypunch1donkeypunch1 Member Posts: 119
Divia, that's insanely high. Chicago area is around 28,300 including destination for EXL RES and around 26,800 for just EXL, no RES. Almost worth just getting the EXL and adding a system to it, though integrated is nice. Only thing you add to those prices is tax title license.
