Not sure what I miss on add-ons. It is fine if it is just wheel locks.
Its not like there is a secret "dealer upgrades" service where the dealer turbocharges the car, makes it drive more smoothly, and turns on the switch to make the car problem-free, but only if you ask him to do so......
Your EX w RES has leather or not? if you dont need financing from Honda, then 1250 incentive can be applied.
I am getting EXL w RES offer at 32600 plus Tag fee, no financing.
$33281 w/fog and remote start
$1664 tax
$416 tags
$35361
Probably not best deal but not bad either.
Can I ask a group question ... what are people thinking about holding off a purchase for a 2011 Honda vs. doing the deal now for 2010 Honda? I need something this year, just a matter of now or waiting.
Pros 2010
- Can get $5,000 off MSRP vs. maybe $1,000 off come this fall on 2011 (due to being new)
- Taller cabin as next year's model is about 1-1/2 inches shorter (sounds like)
Pros 2011
- 2 inches wider and full middle seat with anchors for car seat (good as I have 8 month old twins and 4 year old) - so I can put twins together and 4 year old by door (to drop off at school)
- 2 mpg better
2011 Cons
- 2 inches they added to width won't give you a full middle seat, so they got to take from the other side seats (con as kids grow bigger)
What else can we expect for 2011 model (haven't seen that much even in the other Honda forums). Is there any issues with the current model (ride, comfort, layout) that they should address? Any hints from Pilot on what may be coming?
I thought the prices were pretty good but when I called Holman they told me there was a dealer fee of $549 which they described as their "profit." The OTD came out at $25,777 with sales tax and other government-related fees (tag transfer, etc.). Maroone told me their dealer fee was $599 and included all the prep work they had to do in order to sell the car (i.e., put air in the tires). Is this normal? Are these good prices? Thanks.
MSRP was $37,205 plus $710 destination = $37,915 Total
I paid $ 32,490 destination fee included, no financing (took the $1,250 incentive), TT&L was extra.
Thanks again to everyone as this post saved me at least $1,500.
I checked this forum, amex pricing, and consumer reports, and I'm thinking somewhere between 35,000 and 36,000 is pretty good.
I have one quote for 35,900, plus a $200 doc fee, and $125 to do the insurance/plates thing. not counting the MA state sales tax (which I don't recall offhand)
What's your take on this price? I understand that I should shop around, and get other quotes and haggle, but life is full right now, and I'm hoping this forum will reassure me that I'm within a hundred or two of best possible price for this car in this area (North eastern Mass.) but I don't want to lose much more than that to not bothering to make a few calls.
Hoping to close this week.
Thanks in advance.
+++ is doc fee/registration/3% sales tax
I am not going to buy unless it's a killer deal. I was looking for $30,300. Will wait for 2011.
I just can't imagine getting basically the same van that's been around for years when the 2011 is coming so soon, though.
I must be happy with this offer, right?
All the other quotes in my area of Maryland (Baltimore-DC) seem to be coming in around $31,700-$32,000 with the 2.9% financing and $30,450-$30.990 without the special financing.
Can you tell if the $313/month payment is inclusive of tax and other etcs.? Also is the $1000 down includes tax, title and doc fee for all the 36 months?
Thanks
30,424+1,977 (OH tax 6.5%)+ 48.50(GOVT fee)+ 250(Doc)= $32,700
My goal is around $32,000 OTD. Let's see what I can get.
The BEST quote so far was: $29,399 + TTL (no haggle involved, just 1st offer)
Most quotes were $29,800 - $30,100 + TTL (no haggle either, just 1st offers)
Thanks
This was through zag.com - can access through eBay or USAA or Overstock - and is for the 2010 EX-L with RES. I think we're going to go ahead and pull the trigger.
I have taken the approach as laid out by hogan773 into the quest to purchase an EX in metal metallic w/o Res or Nav. I sent out an email this week to nearly a dozen dealers with regards to a van purchase, and the replies that I have gotten have stunned me. Not that I didn't feel everyone was inaccurate here with regards to their reporting, but my first dealer responses have been very impressive. I have a low "bid" including fog lights, splash guards and door edge guards of $28,169 + tax & tags. I didn't demand a total otd price with this first contact, but will ask for that from each dealer that has replied to me early next week when I start round 2.
Thanks to all who participate here for the valuable tool that you are a part of!! :shades:
