Is there a way to plug in an iPod directly into the radio unit. Maybe where a CD changer would go.
iTrip FM transmiter isn't that good, and ... No tape adapter ...
Any one has an iPod in their Crossfire???
They started the Limited designation, so that they could offer an actual "base" version, with less options and a lower price..
So, in summary... the Limited is the same as the original base car... and the new base car is the "stripped" model.

My brother-in-law, who is in the business, is telling this is the last year for xfire. They are not selling. It will be replaced with another "fire" name and will compete with the Viper.
It is some kind of new ____ fire.. But, I doubt Chrysler is building a car to compete with their own Viper.. Although it did say something about 400 HP... It may be just a concept car, though...

The CONS:
The most back braking ride I have ever expereinced over rough roads.
Can be hard to get into and out of.
The shift mechanism is clumpsy and mysterious at low speed.
Visibility is frighteningly abysmal. Make sure the righthand side view mirror is adjusted to compensate.
Interior "fit and finish," especially the glove box, is less than exemplarary.
I live in the Seattle area, land of rain and hills,(usaully steep hills). I should have thought of that before I opted for 6 speed manual. Not fun when you are in heavy traffic and the idiot behind you is 7.6 inches you bumper.
The PRO's:
Art deco styling gets lots of looks and questions.
Performance, (based on what I a mused to), is responsive. Handling is supurb.
Considering the powerplant and weight ratios, I get excellent milage (around 24.7).
So, would I do it again. Since I got the car for under 24K, probably. But I would not spend 30K for one.
Also, I need to carry a racing bicycle, has anyone found a solution for carrying a bike?
Thanks, Duke7
The salesman last year that told my bud $45k - - - "take it or leave it" .....
....I smell embarrassmenment here....

I am happy to say that after 18,500 miles, it appears that there is still plenty of tread on the originals. The tires are not really close to the wear bar yet.
I expect to have to replace the originals once before turn-in, but it looks like it will be ONLY once. I'm going to guess that I could stretch the original tires to ~ 30,000 miles...
Thx, Duke
Don't waste your money.
No I would not consider the SRT-6, as the extra $$$ is way overboard just to get that engine.
I've looked around the www, but haven't either found anything or haven't looked deep enough.
Any insight would be great. Thanks all!

The performance tire are run flat tires because there is no spare tire. Test drove a vehicle with the all season tires, ran much better and quieter. Asked the salesman about the spare for the all season tires. If a customer wants a spare tire the cost is $350.00 more besides the charge for the other 4 tires. I felt      this is a rip-off. Buyer beware. I also learned the the tire life for the performance tires is very short similar to the Nissan 350Z. Salesman claimed the the sales of the Crossfire are very high and very limited. If the sales are so robust why does chrysler offer a rebate of a $1,000.00. Buyer Beware.

I love the car, when I test drove the 350Z the GPS was the bigger screen, I can't remember if it was color or not. The xfire has GPS which is part of radio. I can't see
until I put my glasses on. But, you shouldn't be setting or watching while driving anyway. The programming I still haven't gotten it down to a science just yet. I think
if you needed to use on a long trip it would be ok. It was pretty funny the first night
I had it we were driving back from our sons and I think the dealership had put in our address and we were going a different way and all of a sudden someone says in 200 feet you need to make a right turn. We did not make that turn and then it kept saying as soon as you can make a u turn. It's really handy to be able to plug-in for certain restaurants, according to types, etc. Well, have fun even if you don't get one. I'm very
short and me husband is avg and he says myxfire isn't as comfortable as his old MG's
I mean old like a 46 right hand drive no seat belts, wood frame, etc. he just loves that car. I love mine, too. They both get a lot of looks and conversations.
Let us know how you make out.
I like very much like the exterior of the Crossfire. Unfortunately the console with all the stainless or aluminum turns me completely off. And I usually like stainless. Has anyone knowledge of, or better yet experience with, an after-market wood kit?
