Folks, can anyone who is a Chrysler employee help me out with a CDI number? I am planning to buy a Chrysler Aspen in the next couple of days so it I would greatly accept a quick response!
Will do. I was getting worried that I missed out on my window of opportunity...but everything I am reading is saying that the automakers are hurting for sales right now. They need to move some product. I'm thinking now would be the time to go in there and get what you want at the price you want...with or without a CDI.
Their website is now updated to reflect the new incentives. They are identical to August (for me) only they added some incentives for 2009 vans as follows - this is for Ohio:
2008 Town & Country LX Offer 1: Get $2,500 Customer Cash Allowance plus $2,000 Chrysler Financial Bonus Cash Allowance Offer 2: Get low APR financing plus $2,000 Chrysler Financial Bonus Cash Allowance
2008 Town & Country Touring/Limited Offer 1: Get $3,000 Customer Cash Allowance plus $2,000 Chrysler Financial Bonus Cash Allowance Offer 2: Get low APR financing plus $2,000 Chrysler Financial Bonus Cash Allowance
2009 Town & Country LX Offer 1: Get $750 Customer Cash Allowance
2009 Town & Country Touring/Limited Offer 1: Get $1,000 Customer Cash Allowance
I agree. probably can save some more money if I can get a CDI number. garymaster, is that what you found as well? Did the CDI number save you some additional money? Any idea how much?
I didn't do a before and after comparison with CDI, but I believe this is going to result in the best price in my area. Currently, I have configured this deal:
2008 T&C Touring Signature Vehicle 28800 Red Paint 225 25L Package 3520 Navigation 1300 Backseat TV 495 Premium Audio System 795 Destination Charge 770
Thanks Gary. Sounds like the CDI discount is a great deal. I sent a post to rmbalisa to see if any more numbers are available but havent heard back yet. Crossing my fingers and waiting! Thanks again.
I just traded in a 06 Honda Odyssey on a new T & C. The Honda had its trans rebuilt twice. Sliding door fell off its track onto my sons foot. DVD player never stopped skipping over the slightest bump. The dash rattled like a bag of marbles was poured down the vents. All of this in the first 22k miles Lucky for me I got the discounts being offered by Chrysler. I think I got $5000 off. I tried the Toyota Sienna before the Chrysler but they did not have Sto and go seats and the sales staff at the Toyota dealership were pretty arrogant (as usual) . My wife wouldn't even look at the Nissan (too wierd, bad quality) but we were looking at the Ford Flex. It was too big though. We both love the Chrysler way more than the Honda already. We haven't had it back to the dealeship yet. Unlike the Honda it was back in the service bay in the first week. I won't be buying anymore Hondas.
Unless you are looking for a 2009, you will not need a CDI number to get CDI prices right now on the 2008 T&C.
Use this procedure: (1) go to your dealer, bring your check book (2) say "I want this van [point at van] for the CDI price" (3) say "look, I brought my check book" [wave check book] (4) write check for van (5) wait around while they get the van ready (6) drive home in new van
Regarding getting the extended warranty at CDI prices, just get a quote from http://www.chryslerwarrantys.com/ - print it out (don't forget to check your email for the additional discount code they send you) and tell them you want it for that price.
Send me a PM to my Carspace mailbox. I'll need the following information:
Last four digits of customer’s SSN First and last name Home address Date of birth Phone number E-mail address that you'd like the control # sent to Vehicle that customer is interested in Vehicle that the customer will be turning in (if any)
We got our van cheaper than the CDI price - the salesperson showed me a sheet attached to the invoice with the prices printed on them - our price was lower, but only by a couple hundred dollars.
I was able to get the warranty from the dealer for the same price as it is offered online, so I can't help on the CDI warranty price.
They have various packages, for example: 5 to 7 years, 75k to 100k miles, and $0/$50/$100 deductible.
From the website: About Maximum Care
Maximum Care is the most comprehensive plan available. It extends your vehicle's powertrain and basic component coverage beyond the 3-year/36,000-mile manufacturer's warranty and covers more than 5,000 components, providing virtually complete mechanical coverage for your vehicle. Maximum Care is an exclusionary plan, often referred to as "Bumper-to-Bumper" and as such if it's not excluded, it's covered. The only parts and labor not covered are:
* Maintenance services and items used in such services. * Glass, plastic lenses. * Body and paint items, including soft trim. * Wear items such as manual clutch assembly, brake pads, shoes, rotors, drums and belts are not covered at any time. * Snow plows, winches and trailer hitches
Plan Benefits
* $0, $50, or $100 Deductible Per Repair Visit * $100 "Sign-and-Go" Towing and Roadside Assistance* * $35/First Day Rental* * $35/Day Car Rental Allowance* * $1,000 Trip Interruption Protection* * Auto Valet Concierge Service* * One-Time Plan Transfer (except Lifetime plans)
*Maximum term of 7 years/100,000 miles We got a lifetime bumper to bumper, with a $100 deductible.
Thanks for the info, but now you have me curious: had you negotiated the price before adding the warranty? I believe the warranties continue to be a proffit center for the dealership, so if they sold you the warranty for the full price, they may have been able to artificially give you a lower price on the vehicle.
gary, you took the words right out of my mouth. If I knew you were going to buy an extended warranty, I'd drop the price on the selling price of the car to think you have a good deal, then charge you full price on the warranty, since prices on extended warranties are indeed negotiable. If it was me, I'd say I was going to get the extended warranty, then decide not to after I know what they were going to sell the car for.
Although I already gave out my one and only CDI employee discount number a co-worker says he is willing to share his. I only have ONE so the first person to send me a PM using their carspace mailbox can have it.
Since these numbers are hard for me to get please only request it if you are absolutely sure you will use it. It must be used to purchase a vehicle by the end of this month.
If you just want a number to see what the CDI discount price would be to bargain with the dealer, a link to the CDI pricing has been posted several messages above this one. Use that instead and go to the dealer with your best offer.
I'll fill you in on the details of what I need from you to register you for the program via PM.
Gary, check the base price of your car to the current base price. That may account for the difference. In the case of my Aspen, the msrp of the car I am working on at the dealership is almost a thousand dollars lower than a car configured with the same options using the link above. That may account for the difference.
I am hoping rmbalisa is online today and can get me that CDI number.
This was part of it, the rest of it was me going to the dealer and telling them I would buy it today if they reduced my price by $300.
Everyone looking for a deal on a 2008 should use the online Chrysler inventory search to find cars that were built before the price increase. In my case, this reduced my price by over $700 vs CDI pricing.
Hi rmbalissa, if you are online tomorrow (monday) morning, can you send me the CDi number? I sent you all the needed details to your carspace mailbox. Thanks.
I'm looking to purchase an 09 at EP price and I do have a control number from my grandfather. I was wondering how do I know and can verify that what the dealership shows me is the true invoice with EP pricing on it, and not just something that they printed up. I been running into dealerships that they show me the EP price and I question it by running the options on the EP website for the 08 models and they say "oh i'm sorry I gave you the shipper invoice" this has happened at more then one dealership via email. Right now the EP website only has pricing for 08 models.
I was wondering how do I know and can verify that what the dealership shows me is the true invoice with EP pricing on it, and not just something that they printed up.
If you have a control number you have a right to see the factory invoice. Ask the dealer to show it to you and look for the EP (Employee Price) code on the sheet. That is the price you pay. You can also check the VIN printed on the sheet to verify that it is the correct invoice for the vehicle you are buying.
There are no fees when using the Employee Price program (close relative of an employee), unlike the CDI which adds a $200 program fee. TTL (in some states) is the only other thing the dealer can add to that price. There are no dealer prep, transfer, marketing or other fees. Also, they can add up to $75 for a doc fee.
Any rebates or other price incentives are further subtracted from the EP for even greater savings.
hi tedebear, I emailed you the information you needed to generate the CDI number. Thanks so much for your help. Can you email or call me to confirm that you got it? I put my contact information in the email. Thanks again.
Please do not generate a CDI number for me, tedebear is already getting me one. That way if someone else needs it, you will still have it available. Thanks again for your help. I sent you an email also.

do you think its possibel to get that for same price. if not does anyoen had cdi or anything that can help me.
There is a link a dozen or so messages back to the Employee/Friends Pricing. Click on that and see what the employee price is for the vehicle you're looking at. Remember, any current rebates or other price incentives are further subtracted from the employee price for even greater savings.
Several buyers on here have reported that they've done better than the CDI/Employee price on their own without an actual number. Look up the price, take it to the dealer and make your best offer.
hi tedebear, I emailed you the information you needed to generate the CDI number. Thanks so much for your help.
I saw that you received your # from me. I'm sorry it took so much time and effort for you to get it. If I had been the one who promised you a number way back on September 4 you would have had it much sooner than this.
Wow, that's a phenomenal deal. What dealership is this? I wonder if I can get a deal like that at my Chrysler dealer? I don't have a lease, but I purchased a new car from them in the past.
I just got an email from my local dealer for a T&C Signature series. This deal applies to all "lease customers"
I was wondering if you or a co-worker may be able to get a hold of a CDI # for me. My wife and I have five children and we would like to trade our 2005 Dodge Limited Edition Grand Caravan in for a 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan.
I tried sending you both the information needed to generate a CDI # a few days ago, but I get an auto-reply back indicating that both of your CarSpace mailboxes are full.
Any help would be deeply appreciated. If you are able to help me out, please send me an email to my CarSpace account along with where you want me to send my personal info.
I tried sending you both the information needed to generate a CDI # a few days ago, but I get an auto-reply back indicating that both of your CarSpace mailboxes are full.
Hmm...my Carspace inbox only has 1 or 2 things in it. If you tried to send it from somewhere other than using your Carspace account it would have been blocked. I believe the website has it set to only send and receive email from other Carspace members.
Anyway, I already gave away my one and only CDI number. The co-workers I've asked thus far all have plans for theirs. If I run across someone else who is willing to share their number I will let you know.
Thanks to everyone on this forum, I have learned a lot about purchasing a new car. After many hours of reading and searching I have found the van I was looking for. I have settled on a 2008 Limited in silver w/ DVD and Swivel n Go. It also has the tow package, bluetooth and the power folding rear seat. I didn't really need all of those options but this one was invoiced before September 1 2007 so it is eligible for the aged inventory rebate you mentioned. I also went ahead and purchased the lifetime maximum care $100 deductible Chrysler warranty and am having the dealer install the blind spot monitoring system which is a factory installed option on the 2009. Finally, I added mud flaps and the iPod integration cable.
Grand Total $32,617.95 financed at 3.9% for 60 months = $600.19
Based on what I have read here this seems like a good deal. What do you think? I thought I saw that the dealer can't charge for documentation. Also the dealer says they need the zip code of the person who gave me the CDI code. Is that normal procedure? I haven't seen anyone else (in this forum) request anything more than just the number.
It appears to be a good deal. if you have a CDI # you have a right to see the factory invoice for that vehicle if you want to verify the price. Look for the EP (Employee Price) code on the sheet. That is the same as the CDI price.
The warranty price you listed is exactly what the http://www.chryslerwarrantys.com website came out to be and they are a good deal.
Also, the dealer can add a doc fee. The FAQ section on the employee website says it can be a maximum of $75.
If the dealer requests the zip code of the employee who issued the CDI # it is a procedure that is sometimes used to verify the CDI. I've had buyers email me about it in the past.
I just wanted to let you know that I picked up my Aspen and am thrilled with it! The employee discount price for an Aspen configured with the options I have as per the employee web site that was posted on this post should have been 30,860. The employee price for my particular vehicle with the same options was around only 29,600 as I found one that was manufactured before the last 2 base price increases. So it turned out to be a phenomenal deal so almost 11K off the sticker price. Thanks again for all your help and I really appreciate all your support!
I am looking at minivans right now, if anyone has a CDI number they won't be using, it will be the thing to tip the scale and I will gladly buy a Chrysler Signature Series. Thanks anyone for your help!
See below for a link to the dealer. Call them and tell them you received an e-mail with the specifics stated above. If they will honor it try to get your local dealer to match it.

I was going to mention that the Carspace website blocks any email from non Carspace sources. I guess it cuts down on the spam.
Use this procedure:
(1) go to your dealer, bring your check book
(2) say "I want this van [point at van] for the CDI price"
(3) say "look, I brought my check book" [wave check book]
(4) write check for van
(5) wait around while they get the van ready
(6) drive home in new van
Regarding getting the extended warranty at CDI prices, just get a quote from http://www.chryslerwarrantys.com/ - print it out (don't forget to check your email for the additional discount code they send you) and tell them you want it for that price.
Send me a PM to my Carspace mailbox. I'll need the following information:
Last four digits of customer’s SSN
First and last name
Home address
Date of birth
Phone number
E-mail address that you'd like the control # sent to
Vehicle that customer is interested in
Vehicle that the customer will be turning in (if any)
I see a lot of talk about getting CDI pricing without having a code, but has anyone here managed to beat CDI pricing on 2008 T&C?
I was able to get the warranty from the dealer for the same price as it is offered online, so I can't help on the CDI warranty price.
