Lowest I ever got in that timeframe was on Christmas Day, when I filled up for $1.499 per gallon. Boy, that price sure didn't last! :sick:
The pulse is kinda thready right now!
Interestingly enough, I did notice that diesel is now back to being less than premium. $2.03 vs $2.05
'11 GMC Sierra 1500; '98 Alfa 156 2.0TS; '08 Maser QP; '67 Coronet R/T; '13 Fiat 500c; '20 S90 T6; '22 MB Sprinter 2500 4x4 diesel; '97 Suzuki R Wagon; '96 Opel Astra; '11 Mini Cooper S
Diesel at Sheetz is now the same as 93: $2.19; RUG is $1.99.
i guess the shot at raising them for no reason didn't work.
$1.95 regular
$2.07 mid-grade
$2.17 premium
$2.27 diesel
I actually pulled into a Shell to fill up today and they were taping out of order signs on all the pumps so I drove on through. I guess I'm going to ride on fumes until my next errands need to be run and maybe head over to the supermarket to try to save a few cents a gallon.
some stations are charging 10 cents a gallon for credit.
An interesting thing is that for the past month I'm matching my fill-up days from last year.

Mid-Grade $2.21
Premium $2.33
Forgot to price diesel as I was filling up.
$2.199 for 89
$2.299 for 93.
I filled up my '67 Catalina this morning, with 93 octane. I've gotten by with putting lower grade stuff in the past and it never acted up, but I just feel guilty doing it, since it has a bit of a high performance engine.
Fuel economy on this tank came out to about 12.3 mpg. Not too horrible for 4000 lb or so and a 400-4bbl I guess, but a good deal of that was highway driving!
Albertsons and Fred Meyers are around $2.08 with affinity cards.
The majors are $2.15 for regular.
Diesel is $2.39 at the majors. Didn't look but premium is probably that too; maybe $2.37.
Pre-Mother's Day increase?
Is it because the weather has been in the 60s for more than 2 days in a row and the sun came out on Monday?

Days are longer; people tend to drive more. memorial Day is around the corner which represents the unofficial start to summer. Economy got a boost the past few days.
Pick one. Just remember it is not because demand has gone up and we are running out of oil.
Memorial Day is 2.5 weeks away. Hardly an excuse, but the media will buy it and repeat it.
Maybe we can keep blaming Bush and Cheney with using their friends to keep the prices up? :P Oooops. We can't keep blaming them for everything can we. Maybe it's because the current administration isn't controlling the pricing to keep fuel cheaper to help the economy as they suggested could be done months back.
Prices here jumped on Tuesday by 35 cents in some areas. They'll kept doing that even though it starts dropping back slowly. It's heating the water for the frogs slowly so they don't jump out of the pot.

Interesting theory...... I like it! I never blamed Bush or Cheney.....for the oil prices. Neither one is smart enough to manipulate the system without leaving a trail. After 9/11 and then Katrina, people realized they could manipulate oil prices and make money. Part of the greed that consumed our society. No reason oil should ever have gotten over $75 a barrel let alone get close to $150. The excuses they were using were getting weaker and weaker each year.
Gas in south central PA has been holding at $2.05 - $2.09 for quite while now.
We ARE a nation of over-reactors :sick:
$2.31 midgrade
$2.41 for Preminger
And here's a switch:
$2.39 for diesel. First time in a couple of years I've seen it cheaper than any grade of gas.
I am waiting for people to pull the old political scapegoats out of the closet:
Bush & Cheney are still the favorites when it comes to high gas prices;
Clinton & Greenspan get the nod when it's jobs, outsourcing and housing;
Obama when the market tanks, bailouts, picking on companies - holding them accountable for their actions (or should I say inactions).
Passed a BP this morning, sitting at $2.60 for 87 octane. I'm thinking they're trying to crack $3 by Memorial Day.
At this point I would be surprised if we don't hit $3 by Memorial Day weekend.
It would be good to see oil stabilize about $60 per barrel. Not sure if that is possible. I don't think we will see the run-up of last year. All the producers should be able to make ends meet with the current price. Not a lot of exploration at that price.
Sunoco at Rising Sun and Longshore in NE Philly - up 2 more cents this morning:
RUG = $2.25
Silver = $2.35
Ultra = $2.55
Gasoline Price Surges, Rising More than 16 Cents
The national average price for regular gasoline surged more than 16 cents to $2.24 per gallon.
That $1.49 stuff we got briefly around Christmas was nice, but I knew it wasn't going to last.
Here in Boise, it's right at the national average:
$2.29 regular
$2.41 mid grade
$2.53 premium
Diesel is approaching regular at $2.39 so there's only a dime differential now.
We're still expecting a price hike within the next day or two for the holiday.
Ultra = $2.61
Wonder why we're the lucky ones getting these prices? :sick:
Odd with all the reserves that prices are so high.
2014 Malibu 2LT, 2015 Cruze 2LT,
CHICAGO (Reuters) - U.S. Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama offered new steps on Sunday to crack down on speculation in oil markets, saying his plan would help rein in runaway fuel costs.
A jump in gasoline prices above $4 a gallon has spurred consumer anger and is a top theme in the race between Obama and his Republican rival in the November election, John McCain, who has proposed more U.S. offshore oil exploration as a way to boost energy supplies.
"I think everyone believes there's too much speculation in the oil markets," said New Jersey Gov. Jon Corzine, an Obama ally who announced the proposals in a conference call with reporters. "A lot of the price of oil, I think, people put at the doorstep of speculators bidding up and holding supplies off the market."
Corzine said Obama's plan aims to close the so-called Enron loophole, which exempts some energy speculators who trade electronically from U.S. regulation. It takes its name from the now-collapsed energy firm that benefited from the law.
Obama would require U.S. energy futures to trade on regulated exchanges. The campaign also said he backed legislation that would direct the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, the top U.S. futures market regulator, to investigate proposals such as increasing margin requirements in the market.
