Have seen a couple the last couple of days. Form the rear it looks like a Mazda. Overall, I prefer the GMC and Saturn. The whole front of the Enclave is just a bit overdone.
I've noticed lately a lot of the new Tundras are equipped with BACK RACK'S on them for contractor duty. That is certainly a good sign that these things are not just driveway queens.
You reminded me, I'm seeing several Ridgelines every day. The house across the street is being completely renovated inside and out.
I'm surprised because these are contractors' cars, they even have the logos on the side. Not one, but probably 4-5 different Ridgelines. Different logos, too.
I'm surprised to see them, frankly, the Tundra would make more sense to me.
Also saw a very filthy CX9 at lunch. The car has surely never been washed.
They pretty much blend in with the rest of the trucks out there. Honestly, the only trucks I notice besides the RL is the new Tundra and the RAM. The best looking two IMO. Saw a Candy Apple red CrewMax this morning which looked fantastic.
I spotted a new 2008 Audi S5 today running around the San Francisco/Oakland East Bay Area. It was wearing Arizona manufacturer's plates. I had some time on my hands, so I shadowed it for about 20 minutes. That is truly on beautiful car. I've been reading a lot of the articles on this car lately in all of the buff mags. It is actually as beautiful in person as it appears in the magazines. Very sexy lines. I think Audi has another really big hit on their hands. This car along with some of their other new offerings ('07 Q7, '08 TT, and '08 R8) is going to make Audi a much stronger challenger to BMW and M/Bnz.
After some checking, I found out that VW/Audi has an engineering/tech. center in Livermore, CA (deep East Bay Area, midway between Oakland and Stockton, CA. I hear that there may be a couple of these cars running around in this area. Official launch date is not until late November '07, so this is probably either a european version, or a US test mule version. I understand that the car will be appearing at the Los Angeles Int'l Auto Show in November and the San Francisco Auto Show, also in November. So spotting this car was really an exciting event for me. This may be regular happenings for the Michigan folk, or even the Arizona folks, as a lot of manufacturers have proving grounds and test facilities in those states. But we don't see this sort of thing much in our part of the world.
I have now seen two CL65s. They are of course ridicuously ostentatious but I love knowing what it represents and the base shape is sooooo sexy. I would probably go for the CL550 though from what I have read.
I also passed the Audi showroom on Park ave. where they had a grey S8 with red leather, S5, TT, S6, and a ridiculously attractive blue R8 with navy side blade and terra cotta interior. I am so in love with that car it isn't even funny.
I have seen a couple AMG CLs on the road, but I couldn't tell if they were 63 or 65. I think the AMG trim looks pretty good, big and menacing. I did see an S65 drive up my street the other day.
My area has a hugely busy Audi dealer, and although I drive by it maybe once a week - no R8 in the showroom nor have I seen one on the road. I want to see one of these.
For normal cars - I have seen a few new Vues lately, much improved over the cheap looking previous model. Also, a few 08 Accords on the road already, all sedans.
Expedition EL and a Navigator L Mustang convertible Rabbit Commander xD CX9 3 Civics! Fusion BMW Hydrogen 7 (neat, she even asked for directions) CR-V Edge Yaris - 2 of them Lexus ES350 Flex Fuel Impala 3 series Durango - the new square faced one Aura
I saw a new CL today, very modified. It was debaged, so I don't know what model. It had some kind of aftermarket bodykit, a weird rear end treatment with special taillights, and big SLR-style wheels. The car was black and looked very mean. The guy driving it was probably about 70-75, surprising.
There seems to be a Subaru dealer at every corner, it's like Ford dealers around here (Mid Atlantic).
In fact, when you give someone directions, it might sound like this:
"Drive north and turn right at the 3rd Subaru dealer, then turn left at the 2nd Subaru dealer, and when you see the next Subaru dealer, it's the yellow house on your left."
I saw another new Impreza today, a red one (the pacific NW probably lags just behind the NE for Subies). I don't think it had a hood scoop, it was at highway speed so I couldn't tell.
Also, a new C-class with sport trim and split spoke wheels. I am seeing quite a few new C-class.
I'm sure the Sable was a 2008. The others looked like 2007s. It's hard to tell cars by their years anymore. It's not like when 1958 Chevrolet was easily distinguishable from a 1959 model.
...black Toyota Solara convertible with top down and beige interior and a black Rolls-Royce Phantom. I wonder what he was doing in my neighborhood? Probably lost.
I was driving by a local high end lot today, and I saw this thing sitting out front. It was being moved back inside just as I showed up. Something you don't see every day...or any day.
darn. a little late to the guessing game. i knew what it was immediately. ;b
although i'm not sure why i knew it. It is pretty ugly, IMHO. It would be far better without all that chrome. Makes me think of a poorly-made model car.

Seems there must be a fire sale on Chrysler Sebrings as I've been seeing a lot of them lately. Sorry, no little "e" sticker.

Seriously did you recognize her?
I thought all the Hydrogen 7 cars were going to celebs/influential people.
Na, just kidding. She was an attractive african-american female, probably about 30 years old. I'm terrible at guessing ages.
I didn't recognizer her, but could have been famous, or could have been a BMW employee or something, I suppose.
I was going to take a photo but she might have thought I was stalking her. Then out of the blue she asks me where New Hampshire Ave was.
At least I gave her good directions. :shades:
Funny.

Nothing exceptional about them... It just got me thinking about the plural for Matrix. :P

* 1500 Saabs
* 1700 Volvos
* 1.3 million Subarus
That may have been a factor behind the purchase of my 2007 Impreza 2.5i wagon which I absolutely love. Blends in quite nicely around here...
I see that many in half a day around here. :surprise:

Not nearly as many nowadays.
I'm not sure if that's bad, or good, perhaps Saab is a lot less regional than they used to be.

Oddly, a WRX 5 door has only a single exhaust, yet a 2.5i sedan (non-turbo) has dual exhausts.
Also, a new C-class with sport trim and split spoke wheels. I am seeing quite a few new C-class.
