    but figure at least till spring. Bridgestone would lose face, so they have to at least make a showing of it...until their stockholders scream bloody murder in which there would be no choice. As it is I'm glad I don't own any of their stock or Ford for that matter....it would be a bloodbath.

    Now, if I could figure out when it is that their stock is at rock bottom and if I had some loose cash, then I could make a buck or two on Ford stock, I bet. Someone will, I have no doubt....

    Now in tires, I think I'd be looking at Goodyear or Michelin parent companys' stock....

    I have worked with you "macho" guys before, for subs and a general. Made some good friends at those jobs, though they probably also thought I didn't know much about buying cars....ha ha. Had no problem letting me count their money though...must be a macho thing huh? Can't recall whether their vehicles were Fords or Chevy's.
    So must not have been too important to me then either...it's all about what works for you.
    Others:
    How about if the first person who makes it big on the stock market, buys both a Ford and a Chevy, and then gives us all an unbiased opinion? Would anyone listen then? Probably not.....

    Really great car. Was between the Mark VIII and the Seville STS. Naturally, final decision came down to RWD vs. FWD and went with the Lincoln.

    about a foot, the heater will be on your back but your rear will be hanging over the edge of the seat...

    Buy whichever pickup you like best....it's your money.

    I like the Silverado much better the either the Ford or Dodge (I'm not going to bother with the toy truck).

    Stick with 3/8 for ceiling. If they make 1/4 (Which I don't think they do), I would bet it would be a [non-permissible content removed] not cracking even with a jack. Hell, if you wanted something that thin, go with luann! LOL!

    Around here (not my menards we are smaller than most) they do carry quarter inch drywall. Holds up better than you would think

    1/2 inch is your best bet.

    Also a side note a guy came in he built his kids a club house and was inquiering about drywall. We (manager and I) advised him 3/8 or 1/2 both same price. He said what about 5/8 da da da. To make a long story short his kids club house has 5/8" drywall in it damn must really like his kidds

    I know i did had some good bonfires. Last yr was the best when me and my cousin lit one with about a gallon of gas. Lets say the neighbors came running from blocks away. SOunded like a bomb went off

    No no we (cousin) poured the gas on some leaves and wood. I was the lucky one who was holding the match and he said lite the fire i didnt know he put a gallon of gas on it. Scared the F outta me. I ran away rubbing my eyebrows making sure they were still there. Then a bunch of people came running up like what in the heck happened. It was like a nuclear bomb went off let me tell you. Car alarms went off. Things shook. I am done with fire.

    Oh yea me and my cousin have some good stories you think DAVE40 has some. Ive been through alot. I have a good tractor story anyone care to hear???

    For all you people that think Fords suck because
    it won't last "60,000" miles are screwed up to me.
    I really don't believe in 4 cylinders though. I
    have an 88' Ranger STX 4x4 w/ a 2.9L V6 5 spd. that
    is rebulit w/ 70,000 miles. 75% of the truck is
    stock. The first engine went threw about 296,000
    miles until there was no compression left to start.
    The Transmission and clutch had 349,000 miles
    until it was replaced. It has gone to Michigan more
    than I have. It was well taken care of, but yet
    beat. The paint looks great, the style looks great
    with the stock Roll bar w/ offroad lights and stock
    pushbar w/brush gaurds, and stock front and rear
    end. I believe this truck will last until about
    450,000 miles and then it will be so worn out that
    I will just have to part it out. This truck has
    never been in a serious accident, but just hit on
    the passenger fender, which I replaced.

    Also my mom just got a 2000 S-10 LS w/ 4.3L V-6
    auto with 5,000 down from her father and I tell her
    all the time how much it sucks. The fold out seats
    in the back squeak over every bump in the road.
    She went to the dealer numerous times for it and
    they claim they tightened bolts, but the problem
    still persists. The passenger seat has to be all
    the way back because it doesn't latch. That's what
    I call cheap. This truck costed $23,000 and it's
    only a 2WD and no power anyhting except steering. I
    changed the oil in it yesterday and I foufn out
    that the oil plug had magnet on it to trap all the
    particles in the engine. I thought, that's the
    most intelligent idea i've heard from them. The
    truck has almost 16,000 miles and I say it's okay,
    but I don't think that truck will last 100,000
    miles.

    So if anyone would like to disagree about Ford, go
    right ahead! For you Ford fans, if you would like
    to know something specific about my truck, Email
    me. I will be glad to answer your Emails. I do not
    have pics at the time, but I'll try to get some if
    you would like to see pics.

    I even thought about putting a 351 CJ that I have sitting around.

    If you want the Best Full size gasoline truck it is chevy GMC without question.

    If you want a small truck it's Ford ranger (which own).

    If you want to throw your money away it's Dodge anything.

    whoohoo!....Ford just re-called 709,000 F150/250's for faulty fuel lines.....seems they rub against other stuff and pop!....add that to the Explorer and navigator problems.....and the expedtions that the wheels seperate while driving....and the Cobras that have 100 less HP than claimed...and the Probes that???....(can't remember what they did).....and we got ourselves one hell of a company eh?

    I know Ford outsells GM in trucks....but in my honest opinion...I believe Ford has the most recalls......but they sell a lot!

    My true feelings......Chevy builds the best truck

    new SUV they introduced in April.....it too is in the recall...and it is the 4th recall on it since April!

    Any company who recalls a lot, takes their commitment to their customers seriously. I would rather deal with a company that purchasing any product is a two way commitment.

    not because I don't like it, I do...but I finally caved and bought a new vehicle. Truck has 226,000 on a 4.3 V6 and it still runs strong. Say what you want (especially you Roc), my truck has never left me stranded. Wanted to play the "how far can I go" game but don't like playing musical cars in the driveway each day. Will put a sign in it after my brother returns it. Had to get his "not a Chevy" truck worked on........

    Although my company is getting out of vans and going to 4wd extended cab 3/4 ton pickups(Chevy of course) we still have one 97 chevy 1 ton cargo and two 96 Ford 1 ton cargo vans. To date the Chevy has mostly had just regular maintenance in it's 96,000 miles of hard use. We use the vans and trucks for land surveying. One of the 96 Fords has done OK, but not nearly as well as the Chevy. And the other Ford van--we call it the 'magic bus' but it's a wonder the thing is still running. It's had more than enough trips to the service department for some major repairs(let's just say the maintenance folder for this van is pretty full). The Ford vans are a little over 100,000 on mileage and we will replace them soon with Chevy's. We also had an old 88 3/4 Suburban that was traded in at 200,000 and still running strong, although the rear springs were shot. Based on our experience, the Chevy's have been the better value for us. Too bad 4 wheel drive isn't a factory option on the Chevy vans.

    Tim,

    Don't get too cocky about these recalls. First off, Firestone made the tires which even GM have on some of their suvs so that's a wash. Second, I recall, no pun intended, that GM has had some anti-lock brake problems in the not-so-distant past.
    How about vibration problems? etc... of course I could always bring up those saddle gas bags of the 70's.....;)

    So recalls make Chevy better than Ford? I guess even you have to admit Toyota is better than Chevy. Less recalls and all. LMAO!!!!

    Ryan, a family won 3-5(?) BILLION from GM recently for a Cavalier exploding on them. The Chevy Vega never stayed on the road long enough to get rear ended.
