Hi blue_bay. Chrysler Financial's December buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36 month lease of a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 4WD with 10,000 miles per year are 2.82% and 47%, respectively.

The numbers for an otherwise identical lease of a Laredo 4WD are 0.48% and 46%.

Hi aitrus03. Chrysler's December base lease rate and residual value for a 36 month lease of a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 2WD with 12,000 miles per year are 2.82% and 45%, respectively.

Hello valenkav. Chrysler's December base lease rate and residual value for a 36 month lease of a Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland 4WD with 12,000 miles per year are 2.59% and 43%, respectively.

The residual value for a lease with only 10,000 miles per year would be 1% higher.

I don't believe that Chrysler is currently providing any cash incentives on leases of this truck right now. That's probably because it is such a new model.

I'm looking at leasing/buying one but these rates/residuals are just terrible. My 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited (43k MSRP) was 15k at $499/30 months and $1500 down (Guess that's why Chrysler Financial is no more). Dealers in NJ want $700+ and more down... Crazy! I may settle for the Infiniti FX35 and miss the remote start/automatic hi-beams and panoramic roof.

I want to either lease or purchase a 2011 GC Overland, V8. Looks like I will have to get the 4WD as RWD models are in short supply, especially in the Red, which is the only color I will consider. Any numbers you can give me? Base MSRP is 41910, V8 is 1995, Red is $225, Dest Chg is $780, for a grand total of $44910. I would have a loyalty discount of $1K since I am coming off a lease on my 08 JGC, and I also have affiliate pricing, thru my hubby's work, although I have no idea what that might get me (does anyone know?).

What are residuals running on this vehicle on a 36 month lease at 15K miles/yr ? I know GMAC is doing the financing. We have been trying to crunch the numbers to do an out and out purchase, but it's pretty ugly after having a $475 lease payment... Oh, and I'm in Arkansas, if that makes a difference, tax-wise.

    Thanks!

PS I also have the special pricing available to me on GM, Nissan-Infiniti and Ford/Lincoln, but just haven't been able to get as excited about any of them, comparably priced that is, as this vehicle. Of course, if the special pricing allowed me to get into an FX or an MDX for under 40K, with NAV, hard drive, chrome wheels, etc., then maybe I'd could consider it. Does anyone know about the pricing of this type?
  • chigirlintexaschigirlintexas Member Posts: 73
Hubby has been issued a claim number so we can buy/lease a 2011 Grand Cherokee, preferably an Overland at affiliate price. I've driven the 4WD w/V8, but not the RWD or V6. I want Red, which is in short supply. Actually, Overlands in general are in short supply in my area (Little Rock/Conway, AR). Does anyone know what the affiliate pricing runs, ie 1/2% under invoice, or what? I found a Limited that has what I want on it at a dealership in Texas with a sticker price of $41,065 (RWD, V8, luxury pkg, media/nav).... before I go traveling to Texas, can anyone give me a ball park of what the affiliate price would be? I should also be able to apply my loyalty cash of $1000 as well, shouldn't I?

If this an inappropriate question for this (or any of the) forum(s), I apologize. I am just asking for help since I need to pull the trigger on a new vehicle quickly and am trying to choose between the Jeep, a Murano, a Lincoln MDX or something GM. Can't get an Inifiniti FX cheap enough and maybe not the Jeep or Lincoln either. Want to buy, under $600/mo for 72 mos, no money down. The leased Jeep I am turning in is worth more than I owe; probably will sell to Carmax and get a few hundred in cash. Tax here in AR is a whopping 8.25% and registration/title is about 6 or $700.

I drove an FX a few years ago.... loved it, but unless they heavily discount (like 10 grand), it's too much. Don't love the Murano, but could probably swing it financially. Not sure how much they are discounting the Lincoln MDX, but again, it would have to be a lot for me to get into one. Not thrilled with anything GM.

Opinions and info.... please!! If this is not the right place to post, please let me know. Thanks.

Im looking at the base model Grand Cherokee with after market leather. This will be my 3rd car from the dealer in south Florida and gave them a referral last month who bought a car. Should I expect any loyalty treatment? They are offering $475 a month tax in, 36 months, 12k miles, 1st month with fees equalls about $790.00 down. Credit is about 730. This seems high compared to what Im reading from you guys. Does anyone know what a fair deal should be for this model? Base model Sticker is $30,995 and all I want is the after market leather. Thanks for any help.

As a reference, I was looking at a 3/36 lease w/ 2000 toop on a Base 2011 JGC w/ lea, Nav, etc.. MSRP 38,240 and was quoted $409/mo. (include MA tax). Same lease 3/36 w/ 2000 toop on 2011 JGC Ltd MSRP 39,995 jumps to 625/mo... They seem to be working with you on the Laredos... but making you look at Highlander Ltd, Acura, BMW instead of the JGC LTD at $600plus a month.

Does anyone have any numbers on the JGC Ltd which they have leased recently. The Ltd does not seem very attractive at this time. Any info appreciated.

    thx

I was just at a jersey dealership and you are right they offered me 399 a month with 2000 out of pocket for laredo x but for the limited the best offer was 700 a month i laughed at the sales manager and told him what is it a cadillac escalade. I have a lease that expires next month limited with chrome and hemi and i am paying 395 monthly with 1500 out of pocket in 2008 but that was then and this is now. i plan on either buying my truck or maybe leasing something else with good incentives

Hi greez82. The lease rate that you were quoted looks good.

Jeep is providing a $1,000 cash incentive on leases of this truck, but only on leases through US Bank.

I got a quote of $406 a month, $2000 out of pocket, for a 2011 laredo x. msrp is $39250 selling price is $36800. It has the new terrain feature thats on the limited models and they threw in the dvd feature when i got up to leave. It sounds like a great deal and probably is but a year from now it wont be. these things are new and selling high but you could work these guys down, its a annoying process. good luck everybody
  • joejeepjoejeep Member Posts: 12
Sounds like a good deal. Keep in mind if lease is with Ally they add $2,500 to the residual for end of lease buyout price. Not a big deal if you are turning it in at end of lease but it can surprise you when you look at your final numbers. What is the DVD Feature ... ?

Mook, that is a great deal, although I do not see how you are getting that payment when I run the numbers. Do you have any more details on how they are offering that payment. Does that payment include tax? where is this dealer located?
  • mook12mook12 Member Posts: 61
I know about the ally nonsense at the end of the lease, my friend had mentioned it thank you. As far as the math goes I dont know it sounds too good to be true but i am going to sign today so we ll see if they play any games. The sales manager assured me the price wont change once i go into the finance officer office but I dont trust any of these guys. The dvd is the entertainment package. The salesman thought the laredo x had nav but it didnt so he said he would throw the dvd in its place but it has to be installed along with a sunroof included in the price. It has the 26x package which is the hemi, heated leather seats, bluetooth and back up camera and has the terrain features. They are losing they said about $900 but who knows. thanks for everybody's feedback. I really appreciate it
  • mook12mook12 Member Posts: 61
And yes the $406 is including tax and $2000 out of pocket the dealership is sansone in nj. also For a basic limited he told me high 400 which is good since the x has a lot better programs right now

Well I just got home got a real good deal. I wanted a x model for $406 month $2000 out of pocket but they didn't have all the options I wanted so I asked for a deal on the limited that was a showroom demo with 4000 miles don't count towards my 10500 miles. The truck had a msrp of 44030, the agreed price or adjusted capital cost was $36160.93 the residual is %46 not sure about the money factor but the monthly payment is $509 with $2000 due at signing. They gave me a $2000 rebate and took my 2008 limited and appraised it higher than what it would cost to buy so that's positive equity that worked well to reduce the selling price. Its got the hemi, panaramic roof, chrome, 20inch wheels, ect. I love this car and if the residual was higher these limited trucks would have a lower monthly payment in my case reducing the selling price by $8000 made the deal work. Good luck and if anyone can calculate my deal please let me know if its a good deal
  • CarMan@EdmundsCarMan@Edmunds Member Posts: 38,514
Hi jgc_11. The dealer invoice price of the truck that you described is $34,160. That puts the selling price that you were quoted at slightly under invoice. If you are leasing through US Bank, there's a $1,000 cash incentive on leases of this truck, meaning that you are really at around $1,000 over. Either way, this is a good deal, but if you are eligible for the $1,000 you might want to try and see if the dealer is willing to give some of it up.

    Car man or anyone else,

I am looking for the lease numbers for 36 months 10k & 12K. What are the residuals and money factors. Also, does anybody know how good a deal I can make on one of these? I have heard everything from no discount to a couple hundred below invoice. I am also interested in knowing if there are any special finance deals.

    Thanks in advance

Thank you Car_man ! Very helpful ... now any idea when the 70th Anniversary models are showing up on Dealer lots ?? ;)

Hi kabbalah. Ally's February base lease rate and residual value for a 36 month lease of a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 4WD with 12,000 miles per year are 2.59% and 46%, respectively.

I'm not personally all that familiar with what the market for this truck right now, but if I was in the market for one I would shoot for a selling price $500 over invoice and see what happens.

    Dear Carman,

Can you work out the numbers for me, I ve tried the calculator but I'm having a difficult time knowing if this deal was good. I know the residual is 46% and the money factor is 2.59 as you stated. The msrp is$44020 and the actual selling price was $36,259. My payment is $509 a month with $2000 out of pocket including the sales tax. They gave me a $2000 rebate plus $2700 of positive equity from my prior lease in the deal. If you need more info please let me know. Thank you

    Hi mook12,
we both are in the same boat. I am interested in Overland 4x4 Summit Edition with 36/12K or 10K lse. Just yesterday I got quote from Michigan dealer MSRP=$46,775 and $47,770 (Chrome Group). Dealer used same MF=.00108 and RV=46% (36/12k). I am surprised how you got $44,020? And my rebate is $1,000 (not $2,000) as returning current lease.
What does it mean "positive equity from your prior lse"?

I contacted a dealer yesterday about a 2011 Jeep Gand Cherokee Laredo E pkg with the Security & Convenience Package. MSRP $34,490. I asked for a 36 month/ 15K per year lease & was quoted $450 per month including 6% Sales Tax (CT). Only 1st month, Security Deposit, Bank Fee, & DMV Fees upfront.

The dealer also quoted me a sellinhg price of $32,303.00 to purchase with 1.9% financing for 60 months.

Checking out dealer websites, there is A LOT of inventory out there.

    Hello,
I believe I got a good offer for a GC Laredo 4x4 26x w/sunroof and blackberry paint for $34,804 (includes destination). Since US Bank is offering a 1k kickback on leases until feb 28, can anyone provide the RV and MF numbers. Also any good leasing deals acquired with similar to above would be great.

    Thank You.

If you are going to be leasing through US Bank, then they are the ones who set the residual & money factor. Just like if you were to lease through the dealer, Ally Financial sets the residual & money factor.

yes, they took my 2008 leased limited and appraised it higher than what the buyout price was, about $2799 higher then they took that plus the rebate$2000 and my out of pocket $2000 and subtracted the total from the msrp. If the residual is high after a lease is up, it could help out with the deal. the loyalty is 1000 i dont know what they threw in to make it 2000. I knew people were paying on the high 500's, or 600's for the limited so i tried working the deal in the low 400's and agreed to $509 after so many attempts. good luck

hello dmjf19, i went to sansone jeep dealer in woodbridge nj, the salesperson was a nice person named Justin, the sales manager was also good as was the finance officer. It was pretty amazing that all three didnt play any games. Any time i go to a dealer i encounter somebody telling me one thing and the other guy trying to change it but this place was excellent. good luck

We are ready to lease an Overland Summit 4x4. 12K/miles, 36 mos with V8 and rear DVD entertainment center. The dealership quoted us $930/month (no $ down, just $97 fees and all in with CT tax). They said no incentives on this car. We have a 2008 Navigator lease to trade in - can anyone give us more clarity on this number? Thanks!

    Hi Car Man,

Looking for the Lease Rates and Residuals both Ally and US Bank for 36 Months 10K & 12K for 2011 Grand Cherokee X with Nav and sunroof. I am also eligble for supplier pricing. The MSRP is 38240 could you please provide invoice? Thanks!
  • mook12mook12 Member Posts: 61
Hey westover1, that number is too high, try shopping around. I heard of guys paying in the 600's for the overland with a little down. I got my limited for $509 with $2000 down and the msrp is $44000 so its pretty loaded but the residuals are the same for the overland and limited so you should be a little higher than mine but not 900 that's really high shop around you ll get a good deal. Good luck
  • arlingtonva1arlingtonva1 Member Posts: 15
    Hey Mook 1,
That sounds like a great deal on your limited. I would fly somewhere for that deal. I've been in the market awhile for a Laredo 4x4 w/ 26x and options but realized pricing would be the same for the limited.

    Thanks,
  • mook12mook12 Member Posts: 61
Hey thanks Arlingtonova. I really believe I got such a low price because it was a demo but nevertheless it is loaded and drives great. I think by next year or so the leasing programs will be better its a new truck. I got a $2000 rebate plus $2800.00 of positive equity from a prior lease that really helped with the deal. Keep looking you ll get a good deal

I'm in NJ as well. Can you please email me or let me know which dealer to go to to get a good deal on a limited for $509/month?

  • arlingtonva1arlingtonva1 Member Posts: 15
Even though I think I got a very good deal on the sales price on a Limited 4x4 with no options (36,051$), the lease numbers were in the high 500s because the RV and MF weren't good. My other possible option of getting a Laredo, the MF and RV were much better. If I go Limited, it's better just to buy it at 1.9% promotional APR over 60 months. I may call this Sansone Jeep in Woodbridge, NJ
  • mook12mook12 Member Posts: 61
Hi ittadict, check out sansone jeep in woodbridge. I didn't have any problems there. They didn't play games or change anything with the deal. Also I really believe I got a low price cause the truck had about 4000 miles so that helped but it still drives and feels new plus those miles don't count towards mine so it ain't bad, I'm renting it not buying it. So if you want a limted fully loaded maybe look to see if they have any that were demo you ll get a better price cause these trucks are priced very high at the moment. In a year or two I bet people will be leasing them in the 400. Lol
