Andes11, my dealer had info right, HMA had it right when I spoke to rep, she gave it all to me as they have it in computer there. I have gotten one survey form, so they know how to reach me, just miss firing somehow.
Installed fog light kit tonight. EASY except for thr fact that they make one screw hard to get to , mst have planned on making dealer install it and take off whole bumper, but I managed it without doing so. TIME? 45 min to do the entire job. Dealer wanted $80-150 to install..so I saved some cash by doing it myself.

As a native Korean, I guess I'm qualified to give this short clinique.

"Hyundai" can be divided into two syllabels: "Hyun" and "dai." The latter is easier for a non-Korean to pronounce, so the easy thing first.

    dai:
pronounced as /da/ in "dash" or /da/ in "dare."

    hyun:
I find this is pretty difficult for many people. I cannot imagine any English word that contains this pronounciation. Try to pronounce "h" and then "yearn." Then make a combined sound.

    "hyundai" means "modern" in Korean.

    Hope this helps.

    zarin

PS: BTW, two questions! First, how much should I expect to pay for a top-of-the-line model? Second, I know SF has a short history, but what's the reliability like so far?
  • billtungbilltung Member Posts: 255
So far I know Hung is the only one own the top of the line US model, he paid about USD25,000(right? Hung's) with Traction Control too. We in Canada don't come with TC, the full load model is about CDN$29,950.

I'm so far the only one reported reached the 16,000Km mark in Edmunds & SantaFeForum. I do have 2 very minor problems with my SF, those problems had be solved both in less than 1/2 hr in dealers.

No problem so far to power chain, has rear crash to very hard solid objects twice with only a little bit scratches & dents. Had done 2 oil changes with synthetic oil, very very smooth so far, & noticed power-booted after break-in period.

    Hi, All.
I'm going to a local Hyundai dealer today.
And, I need some help from experienced Santa Fe drivers like you guys.
My local dealer has 2 Santa Fe's right now.
    First one:
Black LX 4wd with 6 speaker, CD, auto dimming mirror and NO ABS(traction control) at $23100
    Second one:
While GLS 4wd with 6 speaker, CD, ABS and traction control at $22200
So, the major difference between two models is that Black LX has leather seat, and white GLS has ABS and traction control.
I've never had a car with ABS and traction control, so I don't know how much help they can be.
If you were me, what would you choose?
My wife wanted leather seats at first, but now she doesn't know what she wants, either.

Hi, this is Jeff, i live in Mississippi USA. I have a GLS santa fe with 23,000 miles on it sofar, we love it and had not one problem, paid $21.000 for it,well i`m glad i can help, please email me if you have a question at crazeemonkey650r@aol.com my gas milage is at 20 mpg i have been putting 50 wate motor oil in it.I am thinking about geting the DMS (DIGITAL MULTIMETER SYSTEM) For my GLS can anyone tell me if thay have one? Thankes
  • jericho_avejericho_ave Member Posts: 37
    hi HKJang,
If I we're in your position, I'd go with the one with ABS+TCS instead of the leather seats + auto dimming mirrors, the first might save your life and definitely will cost less and save you on insurance too.

I pretty much have that same SF, GLS 4wd, ABS-TCS with cross rails and carpet floor mats, and I got it for $21400.

    to SPINO:
wow, 23K miles already?? since when did u have ur SF? I think that is the most miles I've heard of so far.
  • rsharp83rsharp83 Member Posts: 82
Choose ABS over leather seats. ABS can save your life, Leather looks nice.

ABS should also save you some $$ on your auto insurance.

I will never own another auto without ABS, if you never need it then count yourself blessed. If you need it and it saves your life (it did mine) then you are very glad to have it

    Zarin:
Without the tax then you should expected to paid between $23-24k on the top model. However, if you are willing to wait; then get the 2002 model because they will have manufacture sunroof, A/T climate control, maybe DMS, etc..Just a little more money but you will get everything that will well and more match to the RX300. You might be surprise that they have the navigation system too. Don't need to mention about problem because otherwise you have seen many posted problem in this forum already. As you can see only good thing come out of Santa Fe owners experience. I am almost reach 5k miles but I can surely tell you that the car even run smoother and faster. I love this car even more than when I first got it. 10/100k miles warranty and that make it even harder for other manufacture to compare with Hyundai important powertrain warranty.

    HKjang:
Get the cheaper price one GLS because you want safety to go first. ABS and traction control is the hardest thing to find in the Santa Fe as well as NO other manufacture made 4wd+TC+ABS. You can upgrade to leather seat later. There are lots of place can do it and I am sure there should be some company in Taiwan too.
  • spinospino Member Posts: 4
Yes, it`s true i have 23K and it`s doing very well, It was in November when i bought my GLS, but i`m back and forth in NEW ORLEANS about four times a week, I`d say about 300 miles there and back to Mississippi.I`m very glad i have my GLS.
  • lrchomelrchome Member Posts: 130
I live in florida , I have the LX 2WD and prefer this model. It weighs less than the 4WD, and ABS and traction control are definately not needed in florida. I got my Lx for $21,000. The 2Wd gets better gas mileage, and the interior of the LX definately looks better.

If you live in snow country then go for the 4WD with ABS and TC.
  • hkjanghkjang Member Posts: 12
Thanks you all for making my choice easier.
I've decided to go for GLS 4wd with ABS/TCS.
(I live in Boston area, so handling in extreme weather is very important.)
But, of course, I have to see what they'll give me for my trade-in.
I can't wait to test drive it tonight!!!

I don't think I ever told you guys how much I paid for my pewter SaFe 4wd ABS w/ TC here in Chicago:
    $ 22,293 out the door $24,400'ish.
I waited 3 months for it after getting and internet quote from my dealer. They couldn't locate a SaFe for me after that.I was able to get it only after I received great help from Hyundai's regional manager who I meet here at the auto show. He is a great guy and he was able to push this truck my way via my dealer

    To hung.
I'm working very closely with Sam at HDK. I will be posting the pictures of my SaFe here later and sam believes that you and I will probably compete for the price($100) they will be offering soon.
I'm waiting for the right side steps cause the ones I received are not all that great. I order the serie 3 and steps I got were all black plastic unlike what they have on their site.
I also will be trying the DMS and the auto/AC this summer. This means that I will have to replace the ECU.
    So stay tuned
Did I mentioned how much I love my SaFe despite the cd player problem and the tweeter cover that fell off.(It was finally replaced yesterday)
I also got a dent on my rear driver door from a cart I believe(it happened on the lot of an Home Depot)
I will take care of that later
  • hung0820hung0820 Member Posts: 426
Seem like you are just like me after all. I also have the DMS and A/T AC on my hand too. Seem to replace the ECU in order to make it work and yet Sam told me this too. I can't wait until these products really work my Santa Fe too. This is amazing and nice talking to you. Wow! You seem just like me about the Santa Fe waiting when first bought too. Yes! As we all know 4wd+TC+ABS are hard too find.......

Geep1, I've been away for a bit, but glad to help.

Info for you and other Canadian owners, I didn't see this in a previous post, so apologies if it's a dup. Hyundai Canada has added some new factory accessories for the SF. They have finally made a cargo area cover available (!), as well as side step up bars and a front grill bar(Roo Bar?). The cargo cover seems similar in the brochure pictures to pictures of US models I have seen (Adam's website). Its available in grey or beige. List is around $200 cdn. From what I recall the dealer mentioning the list for the front grill bar and side step bar together is somewhere around $1000-1100 cdn. I didn't ask for the individual prices.

I've ordered the cargo cover, so once I get it in a week or two, I post some pictures on my website.
I am not too keen on the front grill bar (not too much deep woods trekking for my SF), and would have preferred more blackened out side step bars (ala Escape) rather than the mostly chrome for the SF. Oh well....
Maybe the side step bars will grow on me.

    Folks,
I finally bought my Santa Fe GLS.
I test drove it yesterday and I liked it.
Now, I used to drive Maxima, so the power doesn't really compare, but I felt that Santa Fe has decent power to pass most other cars on highway.
I'm picking it up tomorrow 'cause the dealer still has to do some prep on the car.
    I'll post how it goes!!!
    Thank you all!!!

Hi, I ordered a Santa Fe LX 4WD Pewter, heated mirrors, seats and leather interior. I ordered it in March and I'm still waiting. The dealer only says "Oh I don't know what the status is". I'm getting frustrated, but I really want this SUV. Ordered in Chicago. I was driving a Hyundai Elantra and that was a terrific car.

Well the odds were not in our favor. Soon after being stationed in Northern Italy the first thing the Air Force warns us is the fact that this is the most dangerous place to drive in Europe.(So they say) So after being here for almost 2 years I guess one could say we were due for an accident.
It happened today! We were approaching a narrow curve. I started to slow down since it was raining and another car coming from the other side did not slow down. He locked up his brakes and slid into my lane. He hit the drivers side bumper at what I guess was 15-20 mph. We were doing about 10mph. We(me,my wife, and daughter) were all ok. We were all in seatbelts (car seat for the baby.) The air bags did not deploy. I dont think they should have since the crash was off set so much.
Well I dont think it was as bad as it could have been thank god. I put a picture on my website. I will go to the local Hyundai dealer to have them fix it. I hope it does not take to long. Hope none of you have any accidents. ciao

I feel so sorry for your waiting! Yes! The Santa Fe is very hard to find especially the LX model. Anyway, you are not alone in the waiting. There are so many people are on the waiting list too. When I first bought my Santa Fe I wait for about 2 months. However, I paid pretty high to get my Santa Fe too. That's why I get it faster than some other people because I am willing to paid more.

I see posts about this ordering business from time to time here...The truth is Hyundai dealers in this country can't place orders with the factory. Why are they taking "orders"? Well, some people stop checking out other dealers' lots after placing an "order", which doesn't mean a thing. I don't know this applies in your case, but at least they got your name, phone number, etc...
  • billtungbilltung Member Posts: 255
Hi f16clewchief! Glad to know you & your family are OK in the accident! Accident caused by other drivers is hard to prevent, may god bless all of our SF's owners!
Also hope your SF's will get 100% fixed!

I have a 2WD GL 5-speed with the hesitation problem. After taking it in twice, they finally put on the timing belt cover. They didn't do it the first time because they weren't sure it would solve the problem. Today was the first day in awhile that I pulled out on the highway and I didn't get the jerking when in 2nd gear, YEAH!! Hope this is a permanent fix. I love my SF, but I have one gripe maybe you guys can help me with, I have a 5 year old and even though I do use the child locks on the back doors so he can't open it from the inside I feel much better when all the doors are locked. All my cars for the past 7 years have done this automatically either when the car is turned on or put in gear so I guess I've been spoiled, but I just can't remember to do it. I would like to know if there is a way to hook up the door locks to lock when the car is started? I asked the service tech when I was in yesterday he said they couldn't do it, but they lock all the time on their own. Have you ever noticed when unlocking your SF with the buttons that if you don't open the door fast enough it automatically locks again?? My other car didn't do it automatically until they put on the car alarm so I'm thinking there has got to be a way to do it on the SF. Thanks for any info you can give me.

    Hi orivera,
I was in the same boat as you. I got tired of waiting and called every dealer within 2 hours driving distance. My dealer never came through but a few weeks later another one called and said that he had one just show up. I even got a better price than from my dealer for a fully loaded LX with 4wd. Give it a shot it can't hurt all salesman have to eat..

We have a large male Golden (90 lbs - no fat!)who goes by the name of Flash. The space in the rear of our Santa Fe with the back seat in the up position is just large enough for him. I don't believe you would be happy trying to fit two in this space. Flash does quite well in the Santa Fe
but for two you would need something on the size of the Ford Expedition to give them the proper amount of room to move around a little.

    Hi,
I know how you feel. I started my search, back in Feb., and just took delivery last Friday. I'll tell you what the very first salesman told me....... Patience. Hyundai is not taking orders on the vehicle. They seem to be getting a little easier to find, but still a tough nut to crack when looking for specific models. Try going to the Hyundai web site. Do a dealer search, and try each dealers web sites. This works very well, as you can request quotes from many dealers in your outline search area. I had personally visited 5 dealerships in a 100 mile radius , with no luck. One such dealership, in person put me on their waiting list. Less than a week later, I got the call through the internet department, and was lucky enough to get exactly what I was looking for. Seems a though internet requests, go to the top of the list. Good luck. Again, patience will prevail.

I need advice quick! Will be purchasing a Sante Fe GLS 4WD V6 by tomorrow and have gotten a dealer down to $500 over invoice. The invoice dealers are using includes Edmund's base cost, destination fee, options, and an additional $500 for advertising. I believe the advertising fee is not really part of the dealer cost, is that right? They get reimbursed that amount by Hyundai when they sell the car, or something like that. If somebody knows for sure please respond. If they are really charging $500 over plus $500 advertising that they will get back, then their mark-up is really $1000 and knowing that in advance will help my negotiating position when they start trying to steal my trade-in. Thanks in advance!

    Gordon19:
I paid almost over $1000 over MSRP and I am still happy with my car. If you can try to effort at MSRP then that should be very grateful. I hope you can do it. Santa Fe is getting too hot in the market right now. So if you get a good deal then take it; otherwise it'll be gone.

    Steckswife:
I understand exactly what you mean because all of my past car have it too. All of those car; I have aftermarket alarm and they can set it that way. Not sure exactly if the Santa Fe can! I am not sure if the "Backup-Assistant Alarm feature" sell in HDK will do this. I will contact them somewhere next week and see if this alarm feature they sell can do it.

Please see this discussion for some more info: $800 Advertising Fee!

This is Edmunds' "disclaimer" on our new car pricing page--

    "Advertising Charges:
Most vehicle invoices include a legitimate advertising fee levied by either the manufacturer or regional dealer groups. Ad fees can range from less than 1 percent of the vehicle's MSRP to more than 3 percent, depending on region. Metropolitan-area dealers are more likely to charge higher advertising fees than rural dealers. When you comparison shop for a car, be sure to ask the dealers how much the advertising charge is on the vehicle."

    Good luck!

Wow, fast response! As I understand it then, the ad fee of $500 is in fact something this dealership has to pay hyundai and is a legitimate charge to me, just like the destination fee. I am just trying to determine how much the dealership is making in profit on the deal so I have negotiating room when I drive there and am offered a couple thousand below kbb on my trade-in.
  • f16crewchieff16crewchief Member Posts: 17
    Gordon19,
I believe advertising fees to be questionable. Of course Edmund's here says they are legit. If you go to another site they will tell you they are not.

My experience is this. My family owns a furniture store. If you come in and want to buy a leather couch I cannot charge you for the radio ad that brought you into my store. Of course I could try but I think you would tell me to shove it. At least I think you should! Advertising is a COST OF DOING BUSINESS. THEIR COST OF BUSINESS. PERIOD. Do they also want you to pay for their water bill??????
You should ask this dealer to pay you for the gas it took to drive to their dealership. Of course they will not. This is your cost in getting the car.

With that said I was able to get out of the $450 adv. fee. I told them this story and they shut up. I was dealing with the owner by the way. I used info from Edmunds here and got my GL with Utility package and other goodies for about 1,900 below MSRP. So to let you know, you can get out of this charge. Its all about how hard you want to fight! GOOD LUCK

Have a good friend who sells for a Hyundai/Pontiac dealership. He says the Santa Fe shortage is virtually everywhere. They kept one on the showroom floor and won't sell it till they get a replacement. Apparently Hyundai allocated the bulk of their production to the Elantra. This is what is causing the shortage of Santa Fe's. Hyundai expected a good reception, but not of the magnitude that currently exists. Reminds one of the days when the Honda Accord was either wait listed or marked up over MSRP. The Elantra is also selling like hot cakes after the good Consumer Reports review came out, so now they are short of those too! Hello GM/Ford/DC!
  • andes11andes11 Member Posts: 62
Santa Fe and Elantra are made at separate plants. I doubt increase in Elantra production volume constrains the production of Santa Fe.
  • iluvmysephia1iluvmysephia1 Member Posts: 7,709
Sure Elantra and Santa Fe are made in separate plants but that doesn't mean Hyundai didn't make the business decision to produce way more Elantra's. This is a nice kind of problem for them that I would hope they're making a note of and increasing production of Santa Fe for. Duh! They have export limits and quotas and restrictions to deal with but it sounds like this decision was made in year 2000 sometime. With Elantra sales picking up after the good review and good Accent sales and Santa Fe demand going through the roof these are exciting days for our South Korean friends, eh?

GLS 4WD V6 in sandstone, no add-ons except floor mats. Got it for $500 over invoice ($21014 which included the $500 ad fee) and decent value on my trade-in. At that price I didn't feel like I could haggle over the ad fee, since if I eliminated that they would be basically selling it at their cost from hyundai and they deserve something besides their 2% holdback. Shopped the 8 area dealers on the internet til I found what I was looking for, after a horrible experience at my local dealership in Bremerton Washington. I hope info like this helps people looking for a car, as it did me, when reviewing this forum while doing my research. Thanks for all your useful info and I hope I enjoy my new car as much as you all seem to be enjoying yours'.

First of all, there are no instructions with the kit. I had to go to website and copy instructions that are printed white on black. You can imagine what the print-out looked like. Secondly, instructions are too brief. They didn't say remove all piece from the sticky packing board and strip off all extra tape so the 3M red tape is showing. They didn't say to alcohol swab everything at once and then apply Adhesion Promoter all at once. Obviously the alcohol swabs dry out immediately but I didn't realize the Promoter would do the same thing. I only got half of the 30 pieces installed before running out. Now I have got to hunt around town looking for this Promoter. Thirdly, they don't mention that half the pieces have an extra layer of tape over the red 3M strip. You will need good finger nails to accomplish the stripping off.
Now I know how to do it and I hope you do to.
The pieces I installed look great and fit almost perfectly -and the ones that don't are close enough. I am overall satisfied; providing I can find more Promoter to finish the job.
  • sen1sen1 Member Posts: 23
Sorry about that. I just went back to his post and his pictures. I guess I should have done that before I posted.
Actually, the wood kit is slightly darker than his pictures show, but otherwise exactly the same. It looks very rich and not cheap. I am not sure I will install all of the 30 pieces; especially the ones that fit the ac ducts on the doors. To my tastes, it is a bit too much. To each their own.

I have been waiting since Feb.10th for my Nordic White Santa Fe LX with ABS, Traction Control, and Leather/Heated Seats. All I have to say is that it is VERY HARD to get my vehicle. I am still waiting for my vehicle and it has NOT come yet. I am afraid that it will not be here until the fall. It's been a 3 1/2 month wait so far now.
It is ridiculous that there is a shortage of these vehicles up here in the New England area. I live in up here in Massachusetts. The dealer here keeps telling me every week now for the past 2 months that they DO NOT have any NORDIC WHITE LX's with the ABS/Traction Control and Leather/Heated Seats which I ordered. He does an ALLOCATION SEARCH every week for the New England area for me. The only colors which he receives in the LX are Black and Silver ( Pewter ), and these colors also are also far by few. This sucks!!
I was told by my dealer that now in late May and early June that the "FLOODGATES WILL OPEN" and that more LX's of the other different colors will be coming into the port in New Jersey for the New England and Massachusetts area Hyundai dealers. I was also told that Hyundai dealers in my area will be getting 10 to 15 of these vehicles per dealer up here once the floodgates open. I don't know if this is true or if it is a lie. I am willing to wait for the color that I want. I figure that for the $23464 that I paid for mine, I want to get what I want for that price.
Does anybody here know what is going on with the availability of the LX Santa Fe in the other colors besides the Pewter and Black color?
Will there be more LX's coming into New England and Massachusetts in the Nordic White color which I ordered? Do you think that the vehicle which I ordered will ever come? I am very very frustrated and I do not like any other color except the Nordic White. Do you think that my dealer told me the truth about there being many more LX's available up here in the Massachusetts area for Hyundai dealers in late May early June? I really want to get my vehicle SOON after this long frustrating wait.
    Please respond with detailed information.

I'm afraid your dealer may be feeding you a line. I have a Pewter LX with heated seats. I wanted ABS/TCS, but as I understood it, the dealers out west (I'm in Oregon) were getting 1 out of every 100 SaFe's with ABS - most were being shipped out to places that are icier - like back east. Well, you aren't getting them either - so who is telling the truth? I know your frustration - I too wanted a certain color only - black gets too hot on the inside (we just had a serious heat wave out here 100F last week), my last car was red, all my husband's family drives white cars (his parents, brother and sister), and I really didn't care for sandstone or crystal blue. I liked the green, but I thought that it would get dated. In the end, I took what I could get - I didn't want to wait for the 2002's because I think the price is going to jump - popularity can do that - plus, it think it is going to have more options - which means higher price (sunroof, trip computer, side airbags). I wouldn't mind the side airbags, but the rest is just stuff I wouldn't use. My last car had a sunroof, and the light would come in right on my daughter's eyes, and she'd be crying back there.
So, in the end, I got what I got because I'm impatient and the deal I got was superb ($750 below MSRP, no ad fees, etc...)
I'm happy with the car - more than happy. It is fun to drive and it is so cool to have perfect strangers come up to you and compliment you on your car! I was at the trendiest street in Portland (NW 23rd) and this happened Thursday night.
    Good luck,
    liz

I bought a Santa Fe GLS in Sandstone on Saturday. The sticker had a $1000 market factor added on due to the shortage. I did manage to negotiate that. I see others mentioning a $500 ad fee. The dealer I bought this one from said that in NH (I'm in VT) they're getting $3500 over sticker. Anyone else seeing markups like this??

Unfortunately, being a holiday weekend, I don't have the car yet - have to do financing tomorrow. Can't wait to get it tho!!!

This car arrived at the dealer on Friday. I stopped by Friday nite to look at it, and overnight decided that I really wanted it, so I was at the dealer at 8:00 with a deposit. While we were negotiating the price, I bet 6 people came along to look at it, and I saw that the salesman had at least two other people listed on a paper to call about it. The owner said that based on sales of CRVs and RAV4s, Hyundai decided to make 50,000 for the US. He said they could have made 100,000!

Thanks to you folks who commented about the dogs. We don't take them lots of places and I think the space is adequate for our two - they currently ride together in the backseat of a Taurus sedan (no baby when dogs go) and I figure if they can deal with that, they can deal with the space they'll have in the back of the Santa Fe.

I believe there is something wrong with your door locks, they should not relock after you have unlocked them with the remote. They should only lock when you push the lock button on the remote.

I have an LX model and mine do not relock after any amount of time , unless I relock them.

I think you should have the dealer check the door locking circuit.

When you unlock the doors with the remote, if you do not open a door within 30 seconds, they will lock again on their own. My Canadian GLS works that way. It is also mentioned in my owner manual.

I also found out that if you lock the doors with the key or the switch in the door, the alarm system is not on. If you arm the system with the remote and then unlock the doors with the key, the alarm will sound and there is nothing you can do unless you have the remote to turn it off.

It is what the instructions that I posted in SantaFeForum.com (but not here) in respone to a question before:

"The pattern is very close to real wood. The top material is made of Epoxy. Installation is a snap!

    1) Just check all pieces to ensure no one is damaged or missing.

    2) Clean all applying areas with rubbing alcohol.

    3) Peel off the 3M backing on the bottom of each dash piece. Slowly press dash into place while gently warming with hair dryer.

THAT IS! 1.5 hrs for me to complete! You may be faster than me."

See I didn't even mention the "Promotor"! Actually I don't really know what is the purpose of the "Promotor" & I didn't open it at all! Please let me know how to use it.

Even without using the "Promotor", the kits is still look great & quite secure, I had made mistake in the process, & be able to remove the piece by heating it up with hair dryer & slowly peel off & re-apply to the correct position (Still sticking very well to the dash! Amazing! The alcohol really help to get rid of the dirts).

Hey Sen1, I didn't use the supplied alchoh papers because they dry out fast. I use my whole bottle of rubbing alcohol from drug store/supermarket, it costs less than a dollar, I always keep one in different locations(my office, my car, my home...etc), it is very useful product)

Yes the 3M backing is really difficult if you use your nails to peel, I should mention this problem before, I use my razor cutter to peel off the backing, it works much faster!

Glad to know you also like the kits!

Pls let me know how to use the "promotor", I still keep it in my garage.

My GLS also re-locks after about 30 seconds. If you don't open the door by the time your interior light goes out the door will automatically re lock and the alarm will also re-arm.

Don't we love this new-fangled security technology? If you don't open your door within 30 seconds when using your remote to unlock they automatically relock? I had a remote lock on my '97 Ford Escort and I don't remember such an annoying thing like that happening with mine. I guess they're thinking it will make owners feel more "secure" with their car relocking while they doddle! Here's to new-fangled technology! Hip-hip-HOORAY!

Hello all, just like to say if you live your lights on your Santa Fe, when you take your key out, the headlights will go off, so if you like you can keep the headlights on all the time, this will NOT harm the batery....I have a blue GLS and all is good sofar, just reached twenty thousand miles.

I mailed edashkit attention to a guy name Art, right after I posted yesterday and he answered me last night. Shocking to see him reading his mail and answering on Sunday night. At any rate, he said he would send me more Promoter and that after appling it, you should let it dry for awhile. It is supposed to help make a stronger bond between the piece and the dash. I didn't use the hair dryer very much and maybe since you warmed the pieces they stuck good enough. In time we will find out.

Saw your photos. Your dash kit is cool. Where did you get the dash trim kit with Hyundai and Santa Fe logos?

    Thks for your reply!

So you mean u applied the "promotor" to the back of those pieces & then sticked to the original dash surfaces?

Still confusing to where the "Promotor" should apply!
