Since it is FWD, you're probably safe on that count! :P
Want to run that one by me in English? :surprise:
any good ideas, or no one else is having probs
I have an 04 TL and am thinking of trading up to the new TL-S. How much different is the ride? I have had some intermittent interior clicks and noises on my 04 TL that the dealer has not been able to fix - minor annoyances but expected more from a $30K+ car. Any problems with build quality / interior rattling or noise on your TL-S? I was also very disappointed in the stock Bridgestone tires on my 04 TL - only lasted 20-21K miles - replaced them with Pirelli P Zero Nero which are so much better. What kind of tires come on the TL-S? You like them? Thanks for any input or info you can provide.
Rattles ?? Had some rattling in the subwoofer deck. But I guess this is a well documented problem and easily fixed by the dealer. I have had no other rattles - and I am anal about rattles in a car, they drive me crazy. The quality of fit is very impressive, the interior is extremely well put together. I really enjoy the car, and to me, it is well worth the money. For comparaison's sake, my friend bought IS350, and he has had a handfull of rattles and squeeks he had to deal with. And the voice commands are nothing compared with what I have. In all fairness, I think it is unrealistic to expect absolute perfection in a car, I do not care which one (in our price range).
You would love the Type S.
two issues popped up today (at 1995 miles):1) the back up cam went into a static filled split screen pulling out of the garage, with a vertical line right in the middle. did it once, and only once.
2) the nav lost its mind a bit, putting the car several hundred feet behind where it really is. this you would not think would be a factor, but it tells you to turn in qtr mile, 200 feet, now, etc. there is a screen to reposition the car on the map, easy to correct but it will then jump back to the incorrect postion (and it used to be right on the money $$$$).
guess that will give the dealer a little sumpthin to do at oil change time.
Besides Acura, can anyone recommend a nice chrome wheel to replace the standard ones?
Thanks in advance.

I hope people are telling Honda about this. I also think the parchment interior would've been a great choice for the S as well.
Looking forward to purchasing the TL - S
Thanks for the reply.

Immediately upon getting my TL-S it was pulling hard to the left. Dealer said it was a bad tire, I said it needed an alignment. Ended up taking it twice until they did the alignment. Much better, still pulls a lot when in the left lane of the highway. Service tech said this is normal with the tire type. Any one else experiencing this?
Got the all weather mats..they are sooo worth it. They will save the car and look really nice. Other than that its a blast to drive!
I picked up mine S today. We struggled with the White and Red but decided to go to get the White. It was a coin toss.
I guess the wheels aren't too bad. I still think I will research getting Chrome wheels and see if there's anything worth getting.
I believe that if you are going to have a performance car, go for the look as well. But as the saying goes "beauty is in the eye of the beholder", or something like that. Whatever you get, enjoy the ride.
I do have a question that I need to ask others and that is why does it feel so warm in the car? I don't have the heater on and it's not that warm out but it feels very warm.
Strange.
Right now I'm keeping it under 70 and not driving at a steady speed as to allow the piston rings to wear evenly. I will also change the oil at 500 miles and again at 1,000 before I proceed to the 3,000 mile oil changes.
I can tell this car wants to be driven. You can just feel it when just touching the pedal. I'm looking forward to the day I can just hit it.
Do you know what that little circle is on the front bumper? It almost looks like a rear parking sensor to alert you when you're getting too close to an object but it's on the front bumper. Does the TL come with a parking sensor for the front of the vehicle? If it isn't that, what is it?
I have an 06 Acura MDX which I bought last May.
I brought it in early for it's first oil change and the dealership sent me packing.
They explained that Acura uses an oil with special additives that enhances proper engine break-in. This is loaded into their cars at the factory and it is not recommended to remove it early.
I explained that I was getting ready for a road trip to Chicago and I would rather change the oil at 2,500 miles than at 4,500 miles.
They asked me to go on my trip and then come back in at 4,500, which I did.
Acura does not recommend early first oil changes.
Not sure what that little cirle is on the bumper but it resembles a backup sensor that matches the same color as the bumper.
My 2001 5 Series BMW had it.

Thanks for the clarification. It's very much appreciated.
Still working on getting some chrome wheels.
I really like this car.

Maybe I can contact your dealer to check their prices?
Sorry for too many questions? Just debating between keeping the stock set up or going with the optional Acura 18" setup.
