in alcohol, then leave it open to air dry overnite. The alcohol displaces moisture which will
disable delicate electronics.Be sure and use pure grain alcohol because isapropal has water in it.
No guarantees but it's worth the time.On a different note I park in a garage at night so I don't see a need for auto locking doors they are
a nuisance.
Here is my CRV with the Thule racks, I think it looks better then the OEM, but that is my opinion....
you are right, though, honda rips people on the aftermarket stuff. winter floormats for the new accord...a sweet $200
Our '02 V is still a fine wehicle, but we had to take it in for cleaning of the right front brake pad. It accumulated crap, which they cleaned up, but we still get a noise from that brake when first applied. Why didn't they replace the part the first time it went in?
Of course it is normal, if you were on a perfectly flat road and your vehicle did drift to the right then you might have that minor issue.
I think a lot of the owners who have this problem might not realize the road is crowned and they notice a drift to the right. Any properly aligned car will drift to the right on a normal crowned road.
As a civil engineer as an undergraduate I can say without any doubt that all roads are supposed to be crowned so water can runoff the road instead of puddling up on the road creating hazardous conditions for driving.
The Odyssey owners have this discussion frequently. Drift happens, but there's a difference between drift and pulling. If your car pulls, you hands/arms will fatigue faster on longer trips. You should be able to release the wheel on a "flat" road without the car immediately heading for the ditch. It's hard to figure what's drift and what's pulling sometimes though.

The same thing happens with other well documented issues. The one I always used to see is the steering wheel being "canted to the left". Most everyone who reported it used the word, "canted". Not exactly a term used in everyday conversation. However, it was used in a Car Talk radio broadcast and repeated all over the web.
I found front leg room a little cramped when in the passenger seat, though the driver's side had a little more room. I'm a 30" inseam, so my guess is you'll find it cramped.
Try it out, though. I'd actually recommend you go to a local Auto Show, and sit in everything. You'd be surprised. Cars like the Geo Metro have acres of leg room, though you wouldn't expect it. Lots of others might feel tight.

Any thoughts?
BTW, "Hurler" doesn't refer to treb building does it?
Get the aftermarket one with a 2 inch receiver. You have more option with accesories.
You guys are probably thinking of the 1.25" Class I hitch. Class II and III are usually 2".
I don't think anyone uses 1.5", FWIW.

Go to pages 5-6, steps 18-19. Like I want to drill freakin' 13mm holes into my Dad's new car!!
scname - I wasn't going to install the wiring kit as my Dad will never tow anything. He just wants to be able to carry his/Mom's bike to his favorite rides. I was going to give him my Yakima to put on the roof, but he's not too interested in that.
I'll try to check out some aftermarket.
I have a bike rack on mine, too. Make sure if you buy one that it tilts down so you can still access the cargo area.

Has anybody heard of a service bulletin describing this?
I've never mentioned this to my dealer. (I don't drive the car as much as my wife does, and she thinks I'm crazy!)

Just tonight, the "SRS Airbag Off" sign on my Feb 2002 CR-V light (and stay on). I've tried to read the Manual... but couldn't figure it out. Any help? Thanks
the back seat is amazing...i can sit comfortably behind the drivers seat with the seat back as far as it will go. the crv is definitely the exception on back seat room.
but with slightly longer legs, you might find the front seat less roomy than some of the alternatives.
there are many cars that i do not find comfortable because of the aerodynamic angle where the roof meets the windshield. personally, i am more comfortable in taller vehicles like trucks.
but the crv is a heckuva package if you are looking for all around utility and fuel economy.
There is a TSB re pull for the Odyssey, iirc.

They have 2 inch class 2 or 3 hitch for the new CRV. While it won't raise the towing limit of the CRV, the 2 inch size can be useful.

I am not sure if CRV rim can be fit with a little wider tires.
If the seat was clear, take it your dealer.
Damft - Depends on what you are going to use them for. The X-Ones are a great road tire. They lessen road noise and improve handling and braking. However, they aren't so hot for snow or other slippery conditions. More "all-season-ish" recommendations include Dueler HLs (not HTs) and Goodyear AquaTreds (which I have on mine).

The seat was EMPTY when the "Side Airbag Off" light on...
And today the light is OFF again!
Anyway thanks...
Juice - Yes, that is what they are. Mine are defect-free as far as I can tell. There is a slight decrease in noise levels, rain traction is great, and they seem to be wearing well (~14K on them). I haven't had a chance to drive them in snow, but they were rated well-enough. There's no discernible difference when driving dirt trails.
No snow yet? I bet you get plenty this winter.

After looking at all the aftermarket hitches, I concluded that the non Honda hitches mounting points left lots to be desired. If you are not towing anything of weight...then after market would probably suit your needs.
I have a 2001 CR-V EX. I am wondering if anyone out there knows of a way to defeat the feature that prevents me from locking the driver's door without holding the outside handle. When I press the power lock button, all the doors lock except the driver's side. Anyone know a way to defeat that safety measure (but keep the power locks active)?
Question 2 is in regard to anti-lock brakes. My CR-V has them (or at least the EX claims to have them). The only other vehicle I had with ABS was a Chevy Cavalier. When I stomped the brakes in the Chevy, I came to a smooth stop with no screech. My CR-V comes to a screeching halt. With only 11,000 miles on it, the tires are in pretty good shape, but screeching means the wheels are locked, yes?
It seems all (most?) non-US model have this option. Here is photo from CR-V Owners: Photo Gallery
What's the downside of purchasing a Canandian version? I would love to get the EX-L ;-)

They should do an SE model like that here, maybe add 16"s. Forester and Outlander have them standard now, and both are lighter and smaller. I think about every other compact at least offers them.
A Plus One would be 215/60R16. I'd think twice before doing a Plus Two, though, because you're increasing unsprung weight and the sidewalls will be short enough that you can forget ever wandering off pavement.
