I'm looking at a Audi A5 Coupe Prestige Package. Can you please provide the money factor and residual value for 15,000 miles/year?

Hello CarMan - I am looking to understand what the current residual and money factor is on both a 2013 and 2014 A5 and S5. There are basically 4 cars on the lot here at the Chicago audi dealership and I want to calculate what would be the best value for me at this time.

Looking at 10K miles per year please. Thanks.
  • This is my second lease, but first Audi. Is 2013 Audi A5 premium plus auto with nav, wood, upgraded stereo, advanced key...$49200 sticker...$541/mo with $2000 out of pocket for 36 mo. and 12k mi/yr. a good price? Its $25 more per month than the 2014 A4 they were trying to sell me with s-line instead of stereo upgrade. What do you think?
  • DCH Milburn Audi. Do you think I did well?

I think you did fine. The same dealer offered me a rate of $600 a month plus
plus $1400 at closing for a 2014 A5 Cabriotlet, prem pkg with the lights. At this time, i'm still undecided.
  • That's a pretty good tradeoff....2014 vs. my 2013 and a convertible for only $60 more per month
  • Does anyone happen to know the current residual and money factor on a 2014 A5 P+ coupe (auto) for a 36 month, 10k mi./yr lease? Dealer is telling me its 58% and 0.00182, but that seems off to me.

    .00142 and 58%..

If you are top tier credit, they are marking up the money factor... which is typical...

  • Just did this deal: 2013 Audi A5 Coupe (Premium Plus, MMI Navigation Plus, Advanced Key, Audi Guard Wheel Lock Kit, B&O Sound, Polished Exhaust Tips, Audi Care, Tint) -- $48,680 sticker. I had a trade-in with some equity (Edmunds TMV said $36,200 for trade, but I received offers above that figure). They messed around with the trade numbers to get to a reasonable monthly payment, but going in I was happy to get about $3,250 in cash out of the trade, which is the best offer I had received from any other dealership. Ended up with a $477.62 + tax payment ($514.87/mo) for 42 months with $3,250 in cash to get out the door using my prior trade offers as a baseline. I don't have the deal sheet in front of me, but the capitalized cost was just north of $44k. I believe the money factor used was .00068 and the residual value used was 50%. Let me know your thoughts on this deal.
